I love Dipper and Pacifica together. I think that at the start of Season 1, Pacifica just kind of looked down on Mabel, but in later episodes she is, in fact, actively mean to her on occasion, and I don't think it's a coincidence. After Irrational Treasure, Dipper REALLY started being on Pacifica's radar, since he handed her the Northwest coverup papers. It might not have been any kind of shipping situation at first, just sort of a "let's see where he got this" sort of thing. Remember, though, that Pacifica's been starved of love for her whole life; watching Dipper and Mabel interact at a distance could well be her first time really seeing familial love, or self-sacrifice, or anything like that and actually seeing it as something new. And I think that after that, when Pacifica really starts being meaner to Mabel, it's because she wants that for herself, and because Pacifica doesn't have much experience with love she assumes that Dipper's love is limited. She wants someone to finally care about her, to sacrifice for her, and Dipper's the only one she's ever seen doing anything of the kind, and in her mind Mabel's taking all of it for herself and not even appreciating it, while Pacifica gets frozen out. And then in the Northwest Mansion Mystery episode, Dipper forgives Pacifica when she thinks she's blown any chance of any kind of love or affection from him, and that's huge in enabling her to stand up to the bell. The big thing is that Dipper doesn't even know the kind of effect he's had on Pacifica. He thinks he's been a little hard on her, but for her, someone who's NOT abusive is a huge step up. (It's a dangerous mentality, but in this case we know that "someone better" than Dipper doesn't exist.) So to Pacifica, even a scrap of positive attention from Dipper is a HUGE deal, while Dipper gives attention and politeness to everyone in his path. To Pacifica, who hasn't had much contact with anyone like that, that makes Dipper incredibly special, incredibly wonderful, and the best person she's ever seen, because he's one of the first people she's ever seen who's like that. Which is both sad and utterly adorable.

I love how they made this scene a lot more realistic. In the actual show he just says “you don’t have to be like your parents.” In reality it takes a lot more than that to make you feel better, you feel depressed, you feel worthless, it really sucks. Sometimes the only thing you can do is sink your head into someone’s shoulder and let everything out

So short, but so well directed. I love how Dipper's eye lids go lower after the flashlight click and he seems a bit more sad, understanding how Pacifica feels at that moment. He knows that she needs a hug, he knows that if he doesn't do that she will break down and goes for it. Pacifica is the stubborn same as always Pacifica, but even she cannot fight that hug at that moment, slowly sinks down to his arms. Can't believe its been this many years since this show ended, I also truly shipped these two together.

Ahh love this. There's so much raw, vulnerable emotion shared between the two here. Mike Inel did a great job capturing the half-hearted flashlight slap. You could really feel that Pacifica wanted to be comforted by someone that might care about her and Dipper knew she needed it.

In the actual Journal 3, there’s a chapter on the Ghost they fought in the Northwest Manor, and in that very same Chapter Dipper writes about Pacifica, how she’s really nice, -how she smells nice,- and the drawing is of her facing the right, which is the same way the drawing of Wendy is facing, meaning he has a new crush.

Oh! And the little part where he says " is it me or was there some chemistry there?" I don't remember if it was scratched out but when I was. My ship was confirmed and I was made the happiest person alive

everybody's talking about the ship potential but i think the emotions of doubt and hopelessness from this moment was really well conveyed. the lack of words or sounds other than dipper's footsteps and the switch on pacifica's flashlight add a lot to the sentimental value of this moment.

Altho Pacifica's face looks blank when Dipper hugged her, you can clearly tell that tons of thoughts and emotions ran inside her. The way she hit Dipper and the way she rested her head on his shoulder was probably the only way she can express herself.

I would actually pay someone to animate the whole series!

I have always liked silent animations like this, it really puts you in a situation where you need to analyse a bit to understand what is going on even if it is short, a lot of hidden feelings can easily be portrayed which really brings the animation to life for me.

There’s a lot of emotional value in this and in the original, this is so well done and I’m honestly at a loss for words

It bothers me every night how good your gravity fall animations are, it makes the series look so much more mature without degrading the original in any way.

honestly when i saw that episode i really wanted dipper to just go all in in that i wanted to see pacifica start to pop up and basically be like anyone else dipper and mable interacts with in GF and honestly its because it was the fuckin sweetest look at someone starting to get help out of one of the worst type of abusive situations possible and even better was just how much dipper didnt even realise just how much his interaction with her didnt just give her a light at the end of the tunnel but probably felt like a rope being thrown down from that light with we didnt REALLY get to see her climb out fully yet but it was sturdy enough that she managed to start the climb and hadnt fallen yet.

And even now it's not JUST furrys and pedophiles. Furrys have their own corner of the internet. Just don't go there if you don't like them. I can imagine this taking place in a future where Dipper and Pacifica are together, and whenever Pacifica feels down, she goes off by herself and does this. Dipper always finds her and gives her a hug to reassure her.

I honestly always shipped Pacifica and Dipper. I figured Dipper X Wendy wouldn't work out cause of the huge age difference. When Pacifica came along and the two seemed to hate each others existence I instantly figured that to be a sign that they may like each other. It's because when kids usually(for some strange ass reason) find another kid of the opposite gender attractive they tend to argue with that person and act like they hate them. But in reality he/she/they likes the person... it's weird...kids are weird

i also suspected that since season 1, specially because Dipper hated how Pacifica made Mabel sad (and even in the end of the episode when Mabel doesnt want revenge anymore Dipper still goes for it) and in Golf War even when Mabel became in good terms with Pacifica Dipper still didnt like her. I also noticed that during the show it seems Dipper doesnt have friends of his age?? He's not very close to Grenda and Candy and he's always trying to fit with the old kids so for me it was really nice that he finally found a friend of his age

I dunno, it seems more "realistic" now that they are kind of fleshing out Pacifica. Like, in the golf Episode, how, before she was just a snobby rich kid, but after, you kind of saw the "Behind the scenes" of what that means, and that it isn't all Lawn Fountains and Flamingos/Peacocks(?) I haven't actually scene this Mansion episode, but I'm going to go watch it now. I will update when I'm caught up.

Oh my god i- the way he appeard, scared the living sh*t out of me for real idk why but it suddenly jumpedscare me for real!😱

why- WAS THIS SO SMOOTH God it look like it took between 2-3 hours and it looks like a scene from a movie in 4K Quality!

This is the type of stuff that makes me begin to understand people who are part of fandoms. I want MOOOOOOORRRRREEEEEEE!!!!!!

I love the fact that she just accepts the hug because she knows that despite what her parents taught her about high society, she herself doesn't care too much about it. She knows all of the horrible things her family's done to others for their own benefits and although she doesn't instantly change her uptight attitude, she does end up becoming more humble. That's why she accepted the hug, because Dipper was just trying to be helpful when he saw she was in emotional pain and she learned to accept help from others and was for a moment actually able to feel true love in some form since probably no one has offered it to her in any true way.

I don't know why...but I feel saddened by watching this. It feels relatable somehow...

+TWolf2001 Wnedy and zoos is creepy. Soos is considerably older and not in the same frequency. They work better as an inverted case of siblings.

Lets take a minute to disregard all the shipping and all that for a minute and take a look at the relationship between Pacifica and Dipper. I haven’t watched the show in.. forever.. but, I know for sure that I remember them very vividly, especially on how their contradictions. Dipper and Pacifica are somehow polar opposites, and the exact same at the same time, and it’s amazing, watching these two characters develop their relationship as somewhat enemies to friends was really nice, and seeing Pacifica turn from a rich-girl brat to a good friend (and tsundere) to Dipper and Mabel was a very slow, but satisfying improvement. I won’t lie and say that I don’t think they are suitable in a romantic relationship (because they definitely are), but, I always love looking at Pacifica and Dipper at a friend standpoint once in a while to see their amazing friendship bloom.

Ok no hate please but I think that Dipper and Pacifica are the perfect match. It's like when there is an episode when it's mostly about those two it's like, well who else are we gonna ship with Dipper, there has gotta be somebody and Wendy is too old and it would be creepy if Dipper dated his sister!

This art style and the animation, is some of the best I've seem, the emotions you can interpret from just mpvement and no sound can tell multiple different stories even stacked meanings within the story, I love it

This made me fall in love with this pairing.

I love how she just hits him and immediately sinks into his shoulder. It reminds me of that one video of a hamster where they ran up and hit someone in the hand and instantly fell asleep

the original has a lot more talking, about her parents. But the fan animation hit the emotion and drama without no heed of words. Bravo to those who work with this!
