Pacific Spirit Park. High canopy in the wind.

Ойын-сауық

Took a walk through the Pacific Spirit Park in Vancouver, BC. I share these clips with you to give a glimpse into an amazing natural setting. If you are not able to get to a forest, I hope you can find something to experience in the sights and sounds of these video clips.
I have schizophrenia, and I find getting into nature to be an amazing rewarding time. I like to slow down and get to know individual trees, shrubs, rocks. In the time of Coronavirus, we have an opportunity to reconnect to deeper purposes and to develop constructive patterns.
I acknowledge that I have an historical privilege as a white man to live in the unceded territory of the Coast Salish people. They are the ones who keep this land intact and protect the plants, animals, and more. I got to enjoy the park in the spring in 2021, and I hope that you learn about the real history of the land and about resisting ongoing colonization now.
