I'm glad that Skurka is advertising the high water option, but that re-route has probably existed longer than he has been alive. You can see it on forest service maps going back at least 40 years. Thanks for the videos, racing to catch up to your current videos.
awwwwwwww Rach I’m proud of you for still persevering through hard days when things don’t go as planned!! Y’all are doing SO GREAT and things like that unfortunately happen. I love you and am so proud of how far you have come!!!
Rach, I love your attitude on the journey you guys are on. Zoo seems to be an encourager when things happen. Did the member of the crew ever get their ice axe back? There are people praying for you two every day so be encouraged to have a wonderful time out there.
Rotation schedules apply to livestock grazing in the Sierra meadows, to preserve the ecosystem, managed by the US Dept of Agriculture
I love how you all look out for each other and cheer each other on. So much positivity❤
Thank you for the excellent nature videos. You have the very best shows ! I like the way your group works together and have fun ! I'm learning a lot about hiking the trail . It's my goal to hike it in 2025.
So appreciate your videos. Marmots have eaten the cork on my poles so I keep them inside my tent now. Must be the salt.
Thank you for the excellent content! Stoked on your whole crew's positive attitude & appreciation of the beauty!
as always "good job" and you kids know this "stay safe"
Another beautiful day on trail!
Looks amazing! You both are doing great! 😊
Silver Pass is fairly gentle, so you'll be OK (as you know now, ha ha)
Very nice, I've never been in that area when its been under snow like that. Were you able to see Marie lake when you crested Selden Pass or was it covered in snow? One the most beautiful lakes on that section of the PCT.
Oh man gear failure is the worst!
You came to a pretty pass and conquered it! More beautiful scenery and plenty of toe curling)for me) river crossings. At least it was gear that failed not you😊
VVR will be a wonderful day for you. Hot meal, shower👍 once past Silver pass you have an 1100’ climb out of Tully Hole to Virginia lake. Depending on your route to Mammoth, you can avoid Duck Pass.
That marmot was chonky. I wonder what they eat in that desolate snow-covered mountain.

You're seeing mostly fur. Although they eat all manner of plants in the summer, they also eat lichen and mosses so that would get them through the springtime desolation.
