maybe it's time or nostalgia but they can't doubt that the original intro is more epic, and another thing that bothers me about the new one is that the sound of the glowing ball overshadows the music of the level

What's sad is that Bandai-Namco didn't even acknowledge the original team in the credits.

Honestly the game looks great. Some little changes got me thinking it ruins the nostalgia a bit but im just hoping they dont make that decision with pac man world 2. The intro cutscene after seeing it and reading the comments def isnt as good and I dont know why this change was made. But my main focus Id really be looking for in world 2 would be the gameplay. Hoping it stays as true to the original as possible. Still buying this one for the support and should be fun. But im really hoping for the best here for world 2, been waiting for that game for far too long lol.

Wow, they've really stripped away the suspense, drama and comedic elements from the intro, huh? That whole sense of urgency to rescue everyone is really lacking in the new one... It just screams "think of the children" from a modern day safe development perspective Still, VERY happy to see the gameplay itself is retaining that original charm!

I liked when the fruit would jump across your screen in the original when picking them up and the over world i dunno how I feel you are able to pick between 2 areas I liked unlocking as you go one by one and the level doors are so different in the remake..

A lot of sounds in the game have changed as well, like when you get an extra life, the spiders when you smash them, the fruit lottery at the end, the charge up run ext...also no cannon to smash on the island what theeee

I miss Sourpuss, the Pac-Cat. :-(

The PS1 still beats the new one I’m just buying it for PS4 PS5 Xbox Steam for the achievements and trophies that PS1 couldn’t do

I agree the PS1 is better also just look at the opening movie the new Pac-Man world they don’t know how to speak their just making noise we get subtitles where the original one you can hear them talk plus they look scarier the new one Ms Pac-Man looks like a little girl not like an adult so many things wrong with this new Pac-Man world and yeah what Steve said PS1 beats the new one I agree

Pac man still smiles like :D in game in PS1 version. Also the checkpoint text is now a red box in re pac.

Intro cutscenes: The original wins Overall gameplay and environments: The remake wins I hope that if they make Pac-Man World Re-Pac 2 they improve the cutscenes (I really hope they remake the second and third games though).

I’m looking forward to the space world level. I just don’t like how they switch some music sounds to something else and should of kept it how it was

i like the original better i wish they kept some of the same nostalgia we remember from back then and then the voice acting got me. the only thing i like is some of the new level design and graphics and updated animations

Why is no one talking about how bad the remade opening cutscene is? I don't mind the character design changes for the copyright reasons, but they completely changed the scene and made the way each one is kidnapped really boring and uncreative. They added those unnecessary new sequences with the camera panning over the party and with the ghosts talking for no reason, then made the kidnapping sequences go by in a snap in different lame ways from the original's creative ones. The dialogue bugs me too since the original had voice acting.

Not copyright, Royalties. Ms. Pac-Man GCC royalties are held by AtGames. Namco would have to share profits with them if they use Ms. Pac-Man. By Using Pac-Mom, they don't owe AtGames shit. As for why the changed the opening scene is a mystery. The same premise just different actions. Also they really must have saved money by speaking gibberish cuz idk why they did that

This for the same price as Nsane Trilogy?? No way that's fair.. they should have at least thought of doing a Classic Pacman trilogy for the price of one as well.. my buck goes to Crash. Not to mention Crash's insanely high quality graphics on its remake. Lol..

Bruh Pac-Man World's remake is $30 you get 1 game with 3 hours of playtime Crash N.Sane Trilogy is $40 you get 3 games with literally 21 hours of playtime combining all 3 games There is a difference with the both of the remakes price

I think that is very subjective. From a technological point of view, the remake obviously looks better. In fact, we could say that it looks "thousands of times better." It has much more polygons, better lighting, better fps, etc... But I also just love the PS1 and N64 graphics in general, and I'm addicted to them. I even want to make games with that retro style. But at the same time, I'm also enjoying the remake.

@@mewtwo.150 Well, Pac-Man World's target audiences tho are mainly kids, that's why they reduced the difficulty, and dumbed down some enemies. Also, many people find it hard to defeat the Anubis Rex boss, and it's the reason why Namco reduced its difficulty too. Tbh, if they ever make a patch for Re-Pac, I hope they include a hard mode

@@michaelrobosa146 But kids aren't dumb, making the characters dumb is unnecessary When I was a kid, that's what made the game good, the challenging levels, the scary and "mature" levels and characters that made you feel you were into something special I don't know why games nowadays are being childish or directly cringe Like the Spyro remake, why not making a remake as it should be? The same game with modern graphics and without all these new goofy dragon animations Is like the vibe of the old games is gone

What are you talking about? The new one literally has a lot more 3D stuff and the worlds look much more immersive. The original had plain images in the background but in the remake, you can see ships and buildings in the distance, and are actually 3D. I also love the PS1 graphics, but to say that the remake lacks 3D dimension is not accurate.

People keep saying Copyright, that's incorrect. It's actually a royalty issue. AtGames got the GCC rights which means everytime Namco sells Ms. Pac-Man, some of the money they earn has to go to the crooks at AtGames. Namco is making their royalties useless by never using Ms. Pac-Man and using Pac-Mom now. Namco can use Ms.Pac-Man in images and stuff (when they aren't selling her) Namco didn't lose, Ms. Pac-Man they just don't want to share profits with that shitty company
