I'm a metal guitarist and came here by accident... I'm fascinated by this piece and watched 3 people's renditions in the last half hour alone, that was amazing and by far my favourite.

I've watched numerous performances, Zigneunerweizen (Gypsy Airs ), played by renowned violinists around the world, but this one seems to stand head & shoulders from the rest for her right tempo, seamless transition, impassioned emotion, & that undivided timing & precision. Needless to say, she nailed every single note. I'm in deference to her now, & who could resist not to watch it again & again. Indeed our privilege to be able to enjoy & appreciate this one & only one masterpiece on KZread for free. My heartfelt gratitude you for that.,,,,,From California,,,,(08/21/23)

I was trying to find a really good version of Sarasate's "Gypsy Airs" when I happened to hear (and see!) Rusanda Panfili's gripping rendition. It literally brought tears to my eyes! I felt like she was playing, not on a violin but on the strings of my soul, making it sing and vibrate with every single note...

I have listened to the beautiful rendition of this piece by Itzak Perlman and his rendition is beautifully flowing and sweet tone reflecting the individual sound of his Stradivarius violin. However, the expression and tenderness of Rusanda's playing of this is exquisite and unmatched. I guess the greats like Perlman and Vengerov haven't had the benefit of Bulgarian influence that Rusanda has. Her playing awakens your soul. Looking and listening to this performance and Rusanda's performance of Czardas makes me rejoice with God himself in why he created humans. I hope Rusanda also gives credit to her maker and loves Him. .

This is the REAL and ONLY way to play this music. Rusanda has the pure and genuine gypsy soul to execute this music in the most wonderful way. Guys, here it's a simple (?) matter of sound and soul mixed together. And she gets both! Don't worry if she missed some notes. It is absolutely not important. But that sound, guys, that means SPIRIT, is impossible to create if you don't have inside those unique genes. Never heard before this piece played in such a passionate manner. Fire, feeling, beauty, sensuality, virtuosity and whatever else you can capture from this performance. Transcendent and stunning. There are no words to describe it. Rusanda is a giant of the violin, a total gypsy soul that will highlight with her music the beauty of art and music.

Agreed. Rusanda is very good, as Julia Fischer is, and Sara Chang and many other great names of the violin. However, SoHyun's performance was outstanding. No wonder she is already reaching 2.3 million views, making Heifetz's vídeo their most successful vídeo ever. Considering the genre, I believe we can say it has gone viral.

Really great way of going about playing the violin, this is one of those pieces that you never think most people, even great players, really bring off, especially the last movement never sounds convincing or accurate enough - but now I've heard this rendition, I understand how the piece should be played!

Perlmans version is great, but this one moves me like no other. That violin sounds so beautiful! I prefer the sonata sound vs the whole orchestra. It’s hard to believe that’s just two people playing all that! Truly a beautiful piece!

Fiquei, sensibilizado. Desejo á distinta violinista, e, a sua acompanhante, muitas felicidades. Subscrevo-me respeitosamente Paulo Costa.
