    That’s awesome friend! Surgery is definitely an amazing and demanding field …but also extremely rewarding! Hope didactic is going well!! (Or clinicals…didn’t want to assume lol)

    Scrub tech can be a first assistant as well. So pretty much anyone on the surgical team can become a first assistant.

    You're right friend, scrub techs can definitely first assist! As for the second part of your sentence, I wouldn't entirely agree. For example, a cardiac surgery perfusionist or medical device representative is part of the surgical team but would never be found first assisting. Saludos!
