a minute agoNEW I had issue with my Toyota Yaris gearbox , after searching i found this garages youtube video which explains the exact problem after contacting they gave me an appointment on a very short notice . I drove all the way from Hampshire ,cannot recommend them enough. Very friendly, helpful, and outstanding work. My car now it’s like driving a brand-new car. Thank you so much Mr.Jay and the team.

How much did it cost?

Highly recommended. They are experts/ specialized in this MMT gearbox issue. Sorted out my Toyota Yaris 2008 out within half an hour. Gearbox is like brand new now. No juddering whatsoever. 1st to 2nd and the reverse gear is very smooth now. Thank you MrCarmax.

Excellent, is not enough to review Mrcarmax (Jay), I took my Yaris semi automatic to several garage in Aberdeen and Glasgow, but no one digonose it well or fix the issue, (car jumping on the first gear and reverse). I contact him through out the phone and second day I drove almost 600 miles from Aberdeen to his garage and he solve the issue in 10 minutes (reprograming the gearbox). He response to the call quickly and he consider the price for this long trip. 👏👏🌹🌹Thanks a lot

Which gear oil-75w-80, 75w-85, or 75w-90-is best for a 2009 Yaris with a 1.3 MMT transmission? I want smooth gear shifts and good performance. Most Yaris users online say 75w-90 isn't great for MMT transmissions; it's better for manual gearboxes. The Yaris manual suggests using only single-grade 75W oil.

I just bought a 2009 Toyota Corolla mmt and had thought that it's a normal automatic. I replaced the gearbox with a 2nd hand one as I bought it as a non runner. I have a Toyota Yaris 2008 Semi automatic model, when I start the car in the morning. Reverse and drive it’s jumps forward and backwards, when I drive up hills car misfires, and makes loud noises from the engine sometimes. I suspect the Timing chain is faulty because the check engine light is on. But what I don’t understand is that can timing chain also affect the selection of the gear and how smooth it drives? Hello. Was there a light on your dash showing something wrong with the car before recalibrating the gearbox at the gargae? I got some warning light so just wondering if you had the same.

Hi, I had a clutch replaced on a Yaris 2010 1.4 D4D semi automatic, I then had a issue when driving the vehicle goes into neautral, switch engine off and on and it started working until a few minutes later. I changed the gear selector/ actuator on top of the gearbox. The car does not crank or start at all, any ideas? Or how to check the car does or doesn't think it's in gear even though the dash says the N symbol?

Hello guys. Could be P0810 error on Yaris from very used clutch assembly: pressure plate, clutch disk or release bearing? And after replace the entire clutch kit could be the P0810 error resolved? Thank you.

Hi, I have Toyota yaris 2010 mmt gearbox. 8 months ago transmission dashboard light all of sudden came on and car stuck in neutral. I had to switch off engine and switch on few times. Eventually dashboard light gone and was working fine. Again same problem came and dashboard light gone. I have noticed some time only car judders if give gas quickly when I start off driving. Most of the time smooth driving. OBD diagnosis came as stored code P0810. But there is no dashboard light. Any suggestions please.

Most commonly clutch actuator gone faulty. If the mileage is over 80k could be the clutch is worn as well

Thanks a lot for quick response. Only 47k miles and full service history. Is it worth looking in now or wait until dashboard light stays on? Just worring, hope doesn't cause big issue.

scan the car and send us the fault codes. may be the clutch actuator is faulty

@@mattlawton4715 not yet. My mechanic swapped and cleaned the gear selector motors. It's been shaking since. Prior to this it went into Neutral after six days of clutch change with actuator motor changed. Since then iv put a renewed actuator and it just shakes. Mechanic has changed clutch 2-3 times. I think it will be too much headache changing the gear selector motors as it involves taking gearbox off again

es Damaged wiring and/or connectors, Failed sensor, ECU/TCM issues Causes this problem . Very difficult to fix this issue. But we can try our best Thanks

car is good but the s-a gearbox is average

When it's cold, drive it. Hear tremors and a frightening sound when shifting the speed. But when it is hot, this is not the problem. What is the problem please?😢
