This video was invaluable to diagnosing my 2000 Dodge 1500 van 5.9L. I found 9.44v running voltage at my fuse box coming out of the a/c and RWAL fuse slots when I had 13.53v at the battery. I jumped B+ fused to the input of the RWAL fuse slot and the lights disappeared. All I need to do now is determine what is causing the voltage drop. I will report it here once I find the issue. The transmission relay in the power distribution box in the engine bay clicks when I move it even after swapping in a known good relay so I'm pretty sure the short is somewhere in there. Thank you times a million.

Thanks for the reply, this is great information! Is there a video that you know of that shows the proper way to connect external jumper wire with fuse from a good ignition power? I hesitate to play around with jumping fuses, unless I’m confident in the correct method so I don’t create more issues with TIPM. Thanks again for your response and assistance.

Will this be the same problem with a 2007 dodge ram 2500 5.9 Cummins 4×4 speedometer not working,abs,brake light is on.

Maybe you can give me your two cents. I have the same problem with my ram. VSS was changed and no change. I'm not getting power to fuse #35 via test light. #35 is also grounded well via test light. I checked all the wiring behind TIPM and no corrosion or pinched wires. Can #35 be jumped? Let me know what you think I should do next

If you can't find the open wire o bad connector get the power from another ignition fuse with a fused jumper wire, that should work just fine until you find the problem

Just cuz this is a video does not mean you don't need audio

I've got a 03' Ram. A while back, the light switch stop working and the headlights remained always on. Now, the ceiling lights and lamp is always on and does not turn off. What should I do?

My truck has the exact same symptoms. No power at fuse box on fuses 32,33,34,35,36,49. All fuses are good, none blown. How do you trace fuse number to the right wire on wire harness underneath fuse box. There are multiple wire harnesses underneath..

Boomer 11 What year is your truck and engine

I’m curious from the video, it looks like you have a jumper wire rigged from one side of fuse slot #37. It then looks like you clamped your test light to the other end of that jumper wire, and then used the test light probe to touch one side of fuse #35. And then this caused the dash fault lights to disappear. Is this correct? On my truck slot #37 is a spare. There is no power at slot #37 when testing. So I’m curious what this does.

Boomer 11 Yes, that's what I did I jumped the wire from positive battery to one side of the fuse #37 ( fuse #37 is a spare but one side of the terminal connects with fuses #26, #35 #36 #38 #52 ) Do the same i did, if everything star working again that's your problem There's a blk/org wire from fuse #3 to the ignition switch terminal #7 when you turn the ignition On should be power on terminal #14 Orange wire, this wire goes from ignition switch to the fuse box connector #5 terminal #1 and this is the power for those fuses

I had to replace the end of the wire and clean the connector and the fuse box

Isaac Rodriguez If there isn't no power on fuse #37 you can try connecting a external jumper wire with a fuse from a good ignition power to the fuse and see what happens

Edward Vicente Montes Hernandez Despues de arreglar el problema la luz del abs se apaga al manejar el vehiculo a 15 mph No se necesita scanner para que apague la luz

hi Sergio I have a 2003 4.7 magnum dodge ram with the same problem but my has the speedometer going crazy and losing power when shifting 3rd and 4th gear hopefully this helps me out bud o si no le prendo fuego

Lucas David Santos Sandoval Ese modelo es diferente a este modelo en como se comunican los modulos y si prende la luz del ABS tiene que traer ese sistema Tienes acceso a un Scanner para checar si tiene codigos en el ABS ? deja checar los diagramas para ese modelo y te aviso que se puede hacer

Sergio te escribo nuevamente. mi ram 2500 tiene el mismo problema asi como te comente abajo. encienden las mismas luces y todo igualito no signal speed en el scanner. El fusible #35 no tiene corriente por un cable corroido debajo de la caja de fusibles Este fusible alimenta al Modulo ABS En la peueba que ago le pongo un puente conectado a una alimentacion de corriente y al fusible para ver si el problema es por falta de alimentacion de corriente. El sistema trabaja asi: El sensor de velocidad tracero que va montado en la transmision o en el diferencial manda señal al Modulo ABS, El ABS manda señal a la computadora del motor (PCM) El PCM manda señal a la computadora de la transmision (TCM) y al tablero Si este es tu problema por eso te prenden las luces del ABS no tienes señal al velocimetro y no hace bien los cambios la transmision. Si tienes mas dudas mandame los datos de la camioneta y te puedo ayudar un poco mas con tu problema

Im sorry about that !! Fuse #35 missing power caused by a bad wire under the front fuse box. The fuse #35 feeds the ABS Module In this case the rear speed sensor ( on top of the rear differential ) sends signal to the ABS module, The ABS module sends signal to the PCM, The PCM sends signal to the TCM and The Instrument Cluster. ABS light On, No Transmission Shifting on time and no speedometer moving and the code P0500
