Thanks for the feedback! Glad the video was helpful!!
Thanks for the video I replaced the passenger side then got same error was having the worst time finding driver side super helpful
Great info - I need to do this with the drivers side. Omw back from Cali, got a P0394 for passenger side. Replaced that. Was omw up to Jerome az this morning and got the code for drivers side. That's what I get for doing it half assed and not doing both at the same time.

Sadly I'm still dealing with the issue, the code came back... I will probably be posting more videos as I continue to troubleshoot. Be sure to test the wiring, I've read on a lot of forums that this is what can cause the code to come back.

@@MileHighCampers Any Updates?
So I tested my connectors like u said and I’m getting about a 3.75 reading on my wires on both sides I replaced both sensors with oem
Great video thank you. I have intermittent issues with my CPS. I think it’s a wiring issue. I’m going to use your testing method to check it out. Do you happen to know a resource that sells the plug ends for the harness. I think the last time I had mine apart the tab broke Thanks
Probably a good idea to go with OEM. They are usually good for just over one warranty period. 😉

Yes use OEM O'Reillys sensors lasted about a year
Mine is leaking. Do I need to replace a seal? Does the new Camshaft Position Sensor not include a seal?
Hey bud did you ever figure why the engine light comes back on? Dealing with the same and pulling my hair out. I changed both and the voltage is fine. Can you please let me know what happened and possible fix? I see others have asked as well... thanks 🙂
Bank one always in all vehicles has number one cylinder in it. Bank one is also referred to "Bank A" or "B1". Some times on right or left depending on vehicle. Cylinder One is always in Bank One.
What do you turn the voltmeter to? And why do you have to unplug battery when taking them out but not when unplugging and testing them?
What's the plug that comes out of the passenger Camshaft sensor but has the plastic hose clip and appears to go down the rear of the engine?
Any update on long term fix? Thanks
Did this solve the problem
they are both the same, I want to buy it online, to take it into consideration if there is any difference
what year jeep is that beacuse thats not my cam shaft position sensor mine is bottom of engine on a JL

This is a 2012. There is a "Crankshaft" position sensor underneath on the JK, not sure if the JL is similar. This Jeep had the 3.6L Penstar motor.
So if one of my volts reading 3 volts is that the problem?

I would say check the wire for that pin going into the plug and make sure it's not loose or broken, maybe try to trace back as far as you can and check for damage
The JL is 2 on each bank and on the front of the engine
Did you have to do a cam/crank relearn

I did end up doing that with a computer, I will be doing a video on that in the future.

Garbage design for real. I’m on my second jeep and it’s my last. Love it but their build quality is terrible.
