Great info - I need to do this with the drivers side. Omw back from Cali, got a P0394 for passenger side. Replaced that. Was omw up to Jerome az this morning and got the code for drivers side. That's what I get for doing it half assed and not doing both at the same time.

Sadly I'm still dealing with the issue, the code came back... I will probably be posting more videos as I continue to troubleshoot. Be sure to test the wiring, I've read on a lot of forums that this is what can cause the code to come back.

Great video thank you. I have intermittent issues with my CPS. I think it’s a wiring issue. I’m going to use your testing method to check it out. Do you happen to know a resource that sells the plug ends for the harness. I think the last time I had mine apart the tab broke Thanks

Probably a good idea to go with OEM. They are usually good for just over one warranty period. 😉

Hey bud did you ever figure why the engine light comes back on? Dealing with the same and pulling my hair out. I changed both and the voltage is fine. Can you please let me know what happened and possible fix? I see others have asked as well... thanks 🙂

Bank one always in all vehicles has number one cylinder in it. Bank one is also referred to "Bank A" or "B1". Some times on right or left depending on vehicle. Cylinder One is always in Bank One.

What do you turn the voltmeter to? And why do you have to unplug battery when taking them out but not when unplugging and testing them?

This is a 2012. There is a "Crankshaft" position sensor underneath on the JK, not sure if the JL is similar. This Jeep had the 3.6L Penstar motor.

I would say check the wire for that pin going into the plug and make sure it's not loose or broken, maybe try to trace back as far as you can and check for damage

Garbage design for real. I’m on my second jeep and it’s my last. Love it but their build quality is terrible.
