On Friday 1st March 2024 P&O Liberte arrived at the Port of Dover following her epic voyage from the shipbuilding yard in China.
Initially waiting off the French coastline, she was escorted across the English Channel by her sister P&O Pioneer - together they are the worlds largest double ended ferries!
P&O Pioneer duly entered the Port of Dover whilst Liberte nestled beneath the White Cliffs of Dover.
Just after 0700hrs Pioneer departed the British Port bound for Calais whilst P&O Liberte powered into the harbour to a fanfair of horns and sirens; the port tugs firing water cannons into the gale force wind.
Liberte came to rest in the bay, turned and cautiously made her way across the pierheads of the Eastern Docks ferry terminal before docking alongside the Eastern Arm breakwater.
