    I really liked how you recorded stuff and extended the camera as you expanded the base and at one point you focused on each dupe.. nice touch! Watched other clips and where great! Keep up the good work! Love the music btw. :)

    Is the middle room 15 (17 with walls) tiles? What an abomination. And the washroom is strange as well, is this to keep the toilet / washbasin ratio 1:1?

    This is pretty much what I do, but not much later my farm is too hot because of those coal generators, or whatever other heat is around for plants to die.

    The manual generator heats up quickly, so I wouldn't put it in the middle of the base,The consequence of this is that your plants will not grow,( above 30 C°) I wouldn't use the coal generator without a airlock because it produces carbon dioxide. 1 coal generator requires 5 smart batteries so that it is not unused. I don't know if you used an automatic wire, if not, for 2 generators ,you will quickly burn the coal. the manual generator is enough for at least 100-200 cycles while you collect the coal from the hatch.

  • @insyncwithgames

    @insyncwithgames

    Thanks for the input. Here is my reasoning for doing what I did: Manual generator is there in the first 20 cycles or so, I never had problems with overheating from it. If I put airlock it will build up the pressure (witch would cause popped eardrums for duplicants) and carbon dioxide will still slip trough the airlock whenever dups go in and out of the room. I just let the carbon dioxide fall to the bottom of my base (because it is heavier than oxygen) and put carbon skimmer to destroy it after a while. I use smart batteries so there is no wasted coal. I never ran out of coal... there is a bunch of it on the map so there is a lot of time to get hatches up and running... and I use coal generators all the way to the late game as a safety in case my other power production fails.

    That water tank is neat. Damn. Also do you go for a fixed room length. Most rooms are 64 or 96 max.

  • @insyncwithgames

    I go for size of 96 for ranches to be able to fit 8 critters with out overcrowding, nothing else is fixed length.

    at 1:47 you built two Automatic Dispensers, how are these configured and what are those for? apart from that, my bases usually start the same way as yours.

    Those are for quick sweep of the poop water tank. I don't want any materials in the poop water tank so the dups don't go in and out of it constantly.

    I'm concerned with most youtuber submerged the storage/ration box/machinery underwater, why is that? Hopefully get a reply this time from you, for information...I'm not good on ONI. So many things didn't understand well..

    Some materials like slime , bleachstone extracts gases but when u put them in water u can keep them without they extract any gases and if u wana cool down your water temperature u can also store some snow and ice in water , also germs in slime dies in water . I try to explain what i know i hope it is helped.

    In the video he probably put some polluted dirt which also extarcts poluted oxygen.

  • @insyncwithgames

    @insyncwithgames

    Жыл бұрын

    I submerge everything that is off gassing, like polluted dirt and slime, because if the material is underwater it does not create any nasty gasses. Ration box used to be submerged because it could stop the food from spoiling, but that does not work anymore. And some machinery needs to be under water to work properly.

    Is there a reason you have almost no oxygen management like no algae and only one of the oxygen generators? Or is that just something you put off until it’s really needed

  • @insyncwithgames

    @insyncwithgames

    Жыл бұрын

    I put it off until I unlock what I need for Electrolyzer setup. I like to play with 4 to 6 duplicants in the early game so there is no need for anything more complex than 2 oxygen generators.

    Good vid. But Hatch farm next to coal generators. Bristle blossom not melwood, Gota prep for berry sludge. Water storage for toilet waste. Takes ages to fill, no off gas, and you can modify it to feed overflow to thimble reeds. Your ladders are good. However, leave natural tiles either side (not 3 ladders: slap a pip in there and your hallways become nature reserves. Huge moral boosts just going between rooms

    @@insyncwithgames it's just fine tweaking time will teach. Like dreckos. Glossy drecko ranch will mean you never have to worry about plastic! Rush it. And you can ignore oil for ages. I rush reactor. Its unlimited energy more or less. But you'll need to get on bee planet for uranium. For long distance rockets you'll need berry sludge as it doesnt rot. And oxilite is very efficient. So you'll need gold. Genrally bee planet has gold volcanoes. If you can make glass, then you can colonise planets very quickly with solar spam. Water planet is basicly fun. Make an underwater base, make a farm, make unlimited water storage, the real juice is the lime at the bottom to make steel. Valcanoe planet.. it's there for niobium volcano.. which is a bitch to tame but that's 1k cycles in for end game material Swamp asteroid is for oil, free teleported there, the dirt off gasses so it's easy to send 1 dupe without food or oxigen worries. Cant do alot without atmo suits tbh.. unless you work hard to maintain a vacuum in the oil biome.
