OXI One and Coral - Multitrack Sequencing in Eurorack

This video perfectly exemplifies the OXI One's versatility as a sequencer and the Coral's multimbral, multitrack abilities! With an easy-to-set-up MIDI channel mapping scheme, you can create a compact groove box with just this one eurorack module and hardware sequencer!
We use only one of the four sequencers that OXI One offers in MULTITRACK mode, allowing us to control 8 MIDI channels independently.
In this case, all the sounds are generated by OXI CORAL, taking advantage of its multitimbral and multipart capabilities. The relationship between the MIDI channels (which coincide with the voice number) and the different CORAL engines follows this scheme:
1: KICK ENGINE
2: WAV PLAYER (SNARE)
3: WAV PLAYER (HAT)
4: WAV PLAYER (RIDE)
5: WAVETABLE ENGINE (BASS)
6: STRING ENGINE (PLUCK)
7: WAV PLAYER (PERC)
8: MDO ENGINE (LEAD MELODY)
From the One, we are also sending a series of modulation lanes such as:
- Filter cutoff frequency on the bass track using the wavetable engine.
- Reverb amount for a specific step on the snare track using the WAV player.
- Pulse width on the LEAD track using the MDO engine.
Finally, to add more movement to the sequence, we have used techniques such as logical conditions like probability on certain steps or polyrhythms as represented in the 6-step phrase of the STRING engine.

I would love to see a CV expansion for the coral to be able to trigger all voices in parallel via CV instead of midi. An individual outpout expansion would also be great.

Hi Manuel, a question about controlling the Coral with the Oxi One. Is there a difference in controlling the Coral via Midi or CV? Has the CV advantages over Midi?

Midi allows to send independent notes and modulations to the different parts (8 in this case). To do the same with CV you would need 8 trigger inputs, 8 V/oct inputs, etc. But the Eurorack format has advantages like smaller size, variety of modules and tools, amazing modulation sources and effects units. That's why Coral pairs well with the Eurorack ecosystem at the same time you can run it with MIDI :D

@@oxiinstruments Exactamente! I record live what I play(literally doing it know) And would very much like to see it done live, storing patterns to make a song in arranger view. I am recordinf Jean Michel Jarre songs with Oxi but cannot post them as to not get a copyright strike. Gracias de antemano. So: record bass, store pattern, record lead, store pattern and them copy paste them and make up a song.

The case is probably the 4ms Pod20, and the other module is the OXI Pipe (OXI One breakout module via HDMI) unused in this patch.
Looks purple to me
