It’s funny watching this 5 years later and seeing you talk about the price. Those that thought you overpaid were proven wrong! These 35’s have held their value incredibly well and I wouldn’t be surprised to see them further appreciate in years to come. The stats I’ve seen say there are only 318 Edition 35’s in the UK. Great cars!

I have an Edition 35, Clubsport & Facelift Golf R... 35 is so much fun to drive feels like a four-wheel drive.

Most logical explanation is she bought it on finance which is understandable if she’s on a decent wage but it doesn’t really matter how it’s been paid. That is a nice gti. That bottle opener/cup holder divider is pretty cool too. I am 33 and will be getting my first VW in the next week or so and that is a MK7 gti performance in carbon grey with leather seats and it’s a dsg. I have subscribed 👍🏻

The edition 35 has a belt cos it has the same engine from the mk5. Good reliable engine just change the belts on time

It’s beautiful that! I’ve got an Up! For my first car which is a good little car like a go cart 😂 looking for a GTI in future though and these are really tempting or the Polo GTI. But then I guess you’ll always be secretly wishing that you got the Golf. If you look at the MK4 GTI special editions now they’re going up in price. That’s the good thing about these special ed GTIs in particular they hold on to their value well!

Great vid buddy..Nice car..KO4S-Turbo on them..like the MK5: Edition: 30..and..Audi: S3. I think the rim-colour is called either: "Shadow Chrome"..or.."Gunmetal-Grey". (ALL VW's..especially Golfs) are quality. Nice GF driving it. Good for her..she's got good taste in cars.. Jay Ali growing up where we struggled a lot helped me realise what hard work is man. I didn’t buy it at full amount but I had 20k saved and then went to bank for the remaining 6k. I’ve already paid that 6k off and now I have a stage3 6R. I’m turning 21 real soon hahaha

The car in question is actually driven by a timing belt not a chain... That is the selling point over a mk6 gti that can fail regular and without warning due to a timing chain tensioner issue

Mk6 R would have been my choice in that price range. But I'm guessing the insurance was too much for her?

It’s a rare car in Australia with only 200 shipped here it’s for people like me who don’t really like gti but because it’s a special edition it’s bearable. It’s better than a standard gti by a long way. Haters always gonna hate.

One can own any car they want to own. As long as the owner likes it .....its all good. :)

Atique Irfan DSG’s are boring. And for people who can’t drive a manual fast. Drove a mk6R that was DSG and it was no effort what so ever, even with the paddles. No room for error so no chance of improving driving.
