Cruising around the canals in Amsterdam is really great. In 2022, tripadvisor analysed over a billion reviews about travel experiences and guess what... Cruising around the canals in a boat in Amsterdam happens to be the best experience in the world!
I became the owner of a boat (shipwreck) in Amsterdam this year so I'm qualified to tell you what that experience is like. That's what this video is about. In this video I talk about some of the rules for owning a boat in Amsterdam. What motor should you buy and where can you park your boat? What is the boat culture in Amsterdam like? I also show you how to get a boat in Amsterdam by restoring an old boat that had been floating around the canals for years. Instead of buying a boat on marktplaats, some work needed to be done. For the boat, we bought an electric motor from Epropulsion. In 2025, the municipality of Amsterdam wants to ban all petrol and diesel engines so depending on how strictly they will reinforce this, you will have to get an electric motor later on anyway. Ultimately we are very happy about having a boat in Amsterdam. If you're considering taking a boat ride in Amsterdam, I'd recommend not taking a big touring boat but renting a somewhat smaller open boat. Driving through the canals with a boat is awesome but calling it the best experience in the world might be a little bit of an overstatement? In total, slightly under 2000 euro's. A random kid actually caught over 12 small fish while sitting on my boat a week ago! Thanks mate! 🎣🚣♂️

Found this checking in to see if you have any new skate videos. It was a really nice pleasant watch! also hope you take this the right way but with regards to the police stuff. They would "enforce" the rules not reinforce. Reinforce means to make something stronger. Just wanted to help out as your english is amazing and far better than my dutch (zero :D)
