The MGW Gen 2 Shifter for Tremec TR-3160 6-Speed transmission found in the Shelby GT350 and Mach 1 Mustangs has been in the works for almost a year, and now it's finally here. We take a ride in the first Shelby GT350 Mustang equipped with this Gen-2 Shifter.

Installing mine this weekend with a raceseng weighted shift knob. From what I’ve seen, the heavy knob helps with the heavy throws of this shifter.

I'm having issues with mine I've never missed 2nd and 4th gear now when racing the car I'm missing 2nd and 4th gear I'm not sure whats going on but not to happy is there a way to adjust it so 2nd and 4th isn't so far back?
How does getting into reverse work/feel?

It's a beautiful unit the MT82. I love it in my 2019 6 sp. Very nice.
Too bad theirs still no option to retain the pull up reverse lock. It's what keeps me from considering it.

Oh sweet an aftermarket shifter for the absolute best shifting car I've ever owned. Let's so how many dummies will buy something they absolutely don't need. Fools & their $

How’s it foolish? The stock shifter is trash for such a great transmission. My stock shifter makes racket shifting from 1-2 (started about a month ago with 8.5k miles). It’s not broken or hurting anything but it’s annoying as hell. So it’s not really dumb to buy this upgrade. I’d say it was dumb for Ford not to put a beefy shifter like this one in a badass car like the GT350. My MGW will be here early Jan. Can’t wait for those rifle bolt shifts.

@@MStrange88 Mine shifted like butter. Silky smooth. But I guess if yours failed,then a replacement may be warranted. All I know is I've had several manuals in my 50+ yrs & none has even come close to the factory gt350's. Maybe yours was user error. However,I do know that mgw makes quality shifters & if you break theirs,it's time to throw the flag in,so good luck.

@@charleshenson4183 still shifts great but it’s a known issue with the shifters wearing and making racket. Not user error. Still the best shifting car ive ever driven but now it’ll be even better.
