Fun fact: In the lore Hanzo is a better swordsman than Genji but after “killing” him he swore to never use a katana again and now uses a bow and arrows instead.

I think he *was* a better swordsman than Genji back when that went down, but now that Genji has the cyber-whatever-agility he's better

@@Snarptusk It's a matter of definition. Hanzo is probably still a more SKILLED swordsman, but skill won't help against somebody so physically superior.

@@beardedgeek973 I don't know if that would still be the case. Hanzo hasn't picked up a sword since he killed Genji. Genji's been using a sword every day of his life. Cybernetics or not, at this point Genji is probably the more skilled swordsman. That is to say that if you take away his cybernetics and make him a full human, at the current point in the Overwatch Timeline, Genji would probably win a sword duel against Hanzo just because he never stopped using his sword.

"Dragons" and "Honor and Glory" are by far my two favorits !

@@GeeksofMucklebee I like "Overwatch - Dragons" video so much that I look for reasons to watch it over again by watching reaction videos. That's how I found this channel. Now I can't help but watch your reaction to it over and over as well. One of your best videos in my opinion.

I envy those who see this for the first time.

Hanzo and Genji have my favorite storyline out of all the characters. They're the ones I want to see progress the most. Although Torbjorn and Bastion is a close 2nd

This one has always been my favorite💞 Seriously I dont know why when I watch it still I get chills and tears in my eyes 😂

Now you know why I wished so hard for them to stay away from games, and do films because these shorts are so well made, and you can tell heart was put into making them.

I have watched the cinematic several times before, but surprisingly despite being a fan of Blizzard games, have never tried Overwatch, and therefore don't know much of the story. That being said, it has been quite a few years since I have watched this cinematic, and it was pretty fresh for me. To put in perspective how long it had been, I completely forgot the story of the dragons that played parallel with the conflict in the short, brilliant stuff, was fun not only seeing this again, but watching it for the first time through your eyes, great reaction, everything you watch lets me relive a little bit of the excitement that shorts like these bring, keep up the great work

lore background: Genji and Hanzo are brothers from criminal clan - Shimada family (like Yakuza) - Hanzo had to kill Genji because he didnt care about their crime syndicate and was black sheep and playboy of whole family narrator in this cinematic is their father who used to teach his sons through stories like this one about dragons (thats why Hanzo said 'real life is not like the stories our father told us') after supposed killing of Genji Hanzo left clan and his position in it and another clan members took over family criminal buisness (thats why he had to senak in to his own home and fight off guards in the first scene) Genji survived, was saved by Angela Ziegler (Mercy) and became part of Overwatch (Blackwatch division) ... Mercy saved his life, but he had to be augmented and is half cyborg now after he left Overwatch he went to exile to get a grip, to find his inner peace because he didnt knew who or what he is now... he went to Shambali monastery where he met Zenyatta (omnic monk - follower of Mondatta, who got killed by Widowmaker in "Alive' cinematic you saw earlier) now Genji is in peace, he came to meet Hanzo to help find his peace and warned him that world is changing once again and that he will have to pick a side in another Overwatch video you will meet Doomfist (leader of Talon) in game he propose Hanzo a place in his organisation, he tries to bribe him by 'reviving his clan' and giving him back his past life... will Hanzo agree? :> ill leave it there ;)

So many things people don't see in this cinematic~ I mean not a lot of people actually know the deeper background of Shimada brothers but. > _• The dragons painting showed in beginning AND the end._ _• Hanzo intro drop being hard while Genji dropped smoothly and quietly._ _• Ashes transitioned into cherry blossom petals._ _• The sword on the pedestal was blue meaning it belonged to Hanzo, who gived up a aword and picked up a bow._ _• "And he knew only bitterness and sorrow swordslash.mp3" indicate that method of killing his brother was through HIS sword._ _• Genji is a cyborg. (people tend to think it's just armor)_ _• Hanzo values his brother so much that someone needs to be "worthy" to say his name._ _• Seeing only his brother's eyes was the only evidence Hanzo needed to know that he was his brother._ _• The feather falling when Genji vanished… Genji did not take the feather Hanzo was offering that night. This means that everytime Hanzo brought offerings, Genji took and kept those._ There is so much things people tend to overlook but those are actually pretty meaningfull~ but the story of two is even more complicated it would take the whole night movie to show it > Thank u for the reaction! ^^

This is by far my number one. Watched it hundreds of time and it still gets to me. The music, the story, the style, the reveal. When i first watched i knew very little about Overwatch, i didn't already know it was Genji, so that was a wow moment.. :)

Just came across your channel, watching all your overwatch reactions. Dragons was also always my favourite short. They're all amazing but this one always gets me no matter how many times I've seen it. Genji is just awesome.

Totally agree. Love the animation and some of the best lore of the game. Can’t wait for you guys to get to honor and glory though . Being a Reinhardt player it brings out a lot of emotions for me.

As far as favorites go, I believe it's a tie for first place with me personally. It's between this, and another one called 'Hero.' Both I feel are really well done, and I greatly enjoyed watching them several, several times.

Woah! Three different sets of clothes in the same day! You guys really are fashion pros!

You ever see something and get inspired to do it. Watching this animation and story makes me want to be an animator and storyteller. And seeing Nick and the kids makes me hope I can one day have a family of my own to share moments like this with. Cheers!

Flash Fact: - The dragon skills both Genji and Hanzo used are their ultimates in the game. You can think of them like the Ultimates from Apex. - Also, the special arrow and the deflecting with the kunai are also skills from these two in the game. - In overall, this cinematic is top notch. Personally,the "Honor and Glory" one is first with this one being REALLY close second.

Genji doesn't deflect with kunai, he is using nodashi (shorter sword) for that, I believe

deferentially dragons is one of the best, i recommend Reinhardt cinematic & doom fist.

Its too bad Blizzards amazing story telling are not translating into gameplay (WoW in particular) lately. But no one can say they cant tell a story. Their lore books are unbelievable.

Feel I should point out that Overwatch 2 is LITERALLY going to be Overwatch 1 with updated visuals. The game is still going to be multiplayer focused, but they are adding narrative-driven hero missions. I only say that because you were apprehensive about getting into Overwatch so late in its lifecycle. But I’ve had HANDS ON time with the game at Blizzcon, and I can confirm it plays identically. The only gameplay difference is that you get to customize a few of your abilities functionality, but that will only be in the story missions. Th multiplayer will still function as is, just with some slightly updated visuals. So you should jump into Overwatch now. Yes, you’ll get owned for the first week or so... but I guarantee you one hero will clock with you, and you’ll start gaining ground quickly.

You must watch Honor and Glory!

You mentioned that you like Genji's armor . . . That's not armor. It's his body. He's a cyborg ninja to such an extent that the only organic bits are his head and left arm.

You guys have to watch Honor and Glory... tears...

@@GeeksofMucklebee i watch a lot of reactions and usually it's fine. Also, i have tried to watch on my phone and it's the same. The overall video with you guys is fine and smooth. But trailer in the corner is not. You can especially see this in panning shots. It jumps instead of smoothly panning.

Great reaction guys! Looking forward to the rest of them. Any chance of starting on the Elder Scrolls Online cinematics? I'm sure you will love these and it will further give a little variety to your channel. There aren't many anyway so you guys will be able to get through them quickly. heroes of the storm cinematics they is some overwatch characters since heroes of the storm is of all blizzard characters in one game its like league of legends style :) but yeah when hanzo still had his scatter arrow which was overpowered in the game
