That spot has been in that map since launch, it still isn't fixed. You can't teleport/wraith/blink/wall/charge/bash/rocket jump/ect out of that spot either. You're just stuck until you either fall out of the map or the enemy team kills you.

I still remember when the hate for Brig was so bad that players would go out of their way to express their hatred for her by harassing the voice actress, Matilda Smedius. She would constantly get messages from people saying to #/DeleteBrig or begging for nerfs. Matilda obviously had no control on anything related to game balance, but she was clearly stressed from a situation she had nothing to do with.

8:23 As someone who did the grind climb from low gold last year all the way to GM (just hit GM for the first time today!), I can absolutely vouch for this. bad games/teammates/etc exist in every rank; it doesn't just magically disappear when you rank up. What helped my mental most is remembering that in the grand scheme of things, if you play enough games, the really terrible ones like that are the minority by far. Keeping negative comments to yourself is beneficial to both you and your team. And don't forget, the enemy team is just as likely to have someone like that on their team too (and could be just as tilted). Try your best to stay in a calm, collected mindset and work with your team. Kindness is a giga team-buff and can actually be game-changing :)

I'm a support player (have yet to work on my dps or tank skills much, those will probably be my next hurdles), and my top 3 are usually ana, kiriko, and baptiste, but I can flex to most support heroes as needed (some I'm still learning tho). It's hard to give personal tips without seeing you play, but I could definitely give a few general support pointers that helped me when I was feeling stuck in plat/diamond :) I apologize in advance that this is long-winded lol 1) this one surprised me most because it had never occurred to me until someone said it: listen for "hurt" sounds from your teammates. whenever one of your teammates takes damage, their hero makes some sort of grunt our "hurt" sound. it feels overwhelming to try to pay attention to at first because OW is already such a noisy, colorful game, but it genuinely helps you keep track of A: who is taking damage/may need healing and B: where they are without having to constantly look around to check on people (sound cues are big)! 2) similarly, footsteps. this one is two-fold. your enemies' footsteps play louder than your teammates' at the same distance. being in-tune with the sound-cues around you can help you predict where your enemies are coming from, where a fight is happening, and WHO is in it. that's the harder part of this one that I'm still working on too. every single hero has footsteps unique to their character, and if you can learn to pick out what each hero's footsteps sound like, you not only know exactly where an enemy is, but WHO it is, which can help you react accordingly! 3) positioning. high ground and cover are your best buddies. cover can mean a lot of things, whether that be a wall, a ledge, a ceiling, rooftop, or even a teammate. positioning is also super dependent on who you're playing though, and how much mobility you have on said hero. don't just think about where you are right now, think about where you want to be in the future too. this one is tough for me to talk about because I don't do coaching myself, but I remember being in plat and told blatantly how bad my positioning was, and it really made me start thinking more critically about where I was standing and why. 4) I'd recommend watching some online coaching videos for whichever 1-2 heroes you play most. I was lucky enough to have a friend in GM1/t500 who helped give me more tailored advice, but coaching VOD reviews are great too! Don't just watch one person though; everyone has a slightly different playstyle so find a variety of them and see what works best for you. I'd also recommend watching vids for ranks both at and above your current rank. take advantage of all the free content out there! mL7 and Awkward are where I started. good luck and have fun in your climb!! diamond is a very impressive achievement and no easy task, don't let anyone tell you otherwise :)

@@SpacePirate549 I know about the pain sounds, I use those to my advantage. I have some trouble with footsteps because I had to downgrade from audiophile headphones to bad earbuds and the sounds mush together. And yeah positioning is of course something I can always improve on. I've noticed that I die a lot recently so I think I'll have to start playing less aggressively.

@@-aku2805 you got this! and if you ever feel really stuck, watch some guides or unranked to GMs :) watch some masters VOD reviews and see what they do that you aren't, or that they do differently, and listen to the pointers given by the coach. watching content made for ranks above you helped me learn quicker too

I did the prepurchase for the Space Raider skins, thinking they would be exclusive. I'm not mad though, but this means they should do the same thing for the Widow skin that was the prepurchase bonus for OW 1. Only seems fair 🙃

They did make the Noire skin earnable for a bit in OW1, like they did with the Bastet Ana skin for example, but I do also hope they bring it back in OW2 for newbies.

@@kommandantkillcode the only time noire was available after the ow1 prepurchase was if you prepurchased overwatch on switch. there was no ingame event for it. unless they did that sometime during 2016.

@@mentarium Oh, I heard that had been done from a video going over all of the mini events in OW1, but they could’ve been wrong. I wasn’t playing at that time (which was in 2021 according to them). It was also made available to get through the Overwatch Legendary and Origins bundle, although for some reason I don’t have it in OW2 now, even though I know I had it in OW1 because I had used it before. I have all of the other skins included in that pack, and I’m not the only one with this issue, so I guess Blizzard must’ve bugged something about the Battle net linked system going into OW2.

On junker town attack I always go out the far right door and hop on that propane looking tank immediately on the left. I could get some cheeky shots in before moving up but now you can just get stuck there forever and it won't pop you up lol.

@@cime62 that was the case with the space raider skins too, so i wouldn't be surprised. i feel like if they are going to bring back limited skins they should at least make it a recolor. that way people still have exclusive skins but the design is out there for people who didn't get it the first time

that clothes hanger has been in the same spot for so long. At first I thought it was the right side of the cowboys logo, but then I looked at it closer and realized it was a clothes hanger. it hasnt moved for so so so so long.

The guy would've been right to complain about the anniversary credits shop if he said the skin selection was TRASH. It's very obvious they brought back the skins which sold the least. Art Deco Sym released right before season 2, Hermes Lúcio released the same time with Minotaur Rein & Medusa Widow, the Brig skin is mid af, the Echo skin released around the same time with 1 coin Bastion + she looks weird, Doom & DVa were starter pack skins so idk why they included them, Sigma was an ult bp bundle skin so idk why he's here, and Cass and Soldier were in watchpoint pack + Soldier's is awful

I think something that would have been cool to do with the Pirate Reaper skin is that those who got it from the previous year can get a recolor of it instead, and then next year an other recolor an so on. That way it would be a cool way to show how long you've been playing the game for, and new & old players will be happy

5:00 I hate that people constantly say that role queue came into existence “only because of brig” yes. Goats was a catalyst of it. But one of the biggest reasons why we had role queue was to stop the constantly complaining of “we need a healer, swap to a healer dude” in a lot of matches. And weirdly enough people who complain about role queue. For some reason forget open queue exist? I don’t know why, it’s literally right there. Even competitive version too. How did you miss that?

For comp/OW league it was 100% because of the meta, but yeah for the overall game it was to reduce toxicity and 'improve' matchmaking.

GOATS was like 95% of the reason why they made the change. They tried tons of different things to get rid of GOATS and nothing worked, so they forced it out of existence with role queue.

@@bobrulz not everyone plays ow competitively. While yeah, goats was one of the reasons. Reducing the constant pain of not having a support while playing was a major reason too.

I’ve had to say no to people who try and return things like air fryers and lamps after they’ve had own them for months because they didn’t want them anymore. They truly don’t understand why we don’t do that

the bugged spot is still broken, I got stuck in there in mystery heroes as bap and had to wait painfully long for someone to kill me because I couldn't do anything 😭all that for bhopping out of spawn

About the tilting thing, getting tilted aslo forces your mind to make calls it normally wouldn't. You Take routes you hope will force a turn, or get a pick, when its a really bad idea to go for them atm. Or you play more aggressively or passively than usual, usually ending up getting picked or falling short on your hero's goal. Its just not fun all around.

I wonder if they’ll bring back ow1 event skins that you got for free by playing the game for a limited time like maestro sigma and put those behind a paywall

Everybody talks about most OP states of heroes and no-one talks about Cassidy/McCree at the launch of Overwatch 1. It's understandable, it didn't last very long until he got nerfed into the realm beyond a throw pick (while Tracer and Genji dominated DPS for nearly a year), but his state at launch was insane. No damage falloff, and each bullet in his fan the hammer did FULL DAMAGE. He could outsnipe a Widow while being a better tank-buster than Reaper. The only thing that kept him in any kind of check was the fact that he was highly reliant on team support to get into position and bring his value to bear. You have to understand that there was no role queue back then, and NO-ONE played Tank or Support. 1-4-1 was the average team comp, not because it was any good at all (it wasn't) but because people just wanted to play DPS (or in those days attack and defense characters) and never really cared about being team players.

Quite recently I had to save a JQ as the opposing Rein mid fight because they got stuck in that same spot.

I had a similar issue to this reinhart getting stuck on the last point of push but not nearly as dramatic as this at one point I had an issue where when ever I dropped a mine on the last point it would instead break so you can't like do rollouts or trap or anything you just instantly lose that mind for no reason. some sort of hitbox issue, fairly certain they fixed it now though

yo i jus had this game.. where i was a tank(hog and then sigma)... and i outhealed both of my supports as hog, and when i asked them where was the heals they told me that i was a noob and as a tank i shouldnt take any damage.. and so sniper hog was born.. i let the supports go up front while i hooked the enemy tank into the backline and let the tank go crazy against the dps.. ngl this is sadly the most fun ive had in overwatch for months

Imo, the issue with skin events like that bringing back old ones isn't money-related but instead that the event is only a thing for people without the skins already. So people with the skins don't get to experience an event because they spent money previously. In a sense you could say the people that bought the skins paid for the event that they then aren't able to participate in. But also if you buy skins you're supporting the Blizzard greed so I don't care, enjoy missing out :)

I got a lot of built-up toxicity from playing League of Legends for years, and diving into ranked on it for some reason. It's still with me. And I mean I've raged at video games for a long time, it's just gotten worse and worse over the past I'd say couple of decades. And LoL was maybe where it peaked. I've been getting into OverWatch 2, and it's still there unfortunately. I really been trying to focus on the positive and have fun; I miss just enjoying video games, and it's not good for my mental in game, or my overall state of mind out of the game. But it is tough. I will say though I'm not actually toxic; I keep it quiet, I don't go into voice commands, and this is just in QP anyway so I'm not quitting ranked games or raging and tilting which leads to me dying more in a game where it's costing anybody. It's just me, by myself, being pissed off at people, as much as it sucks.

The fact that people get so upset about the arrangement of their pixels in a video game irks me so much. There are more important things in life to be upset about
