I doubt it will be as bad as we see here. Kirikos suzu has so many use cases that it probably can't only be saved to stop a sleep or an anti. Either way, kiriko is very strong from the looks of things.

Except she only gets to do it every 14 seconds, and when you throw in several other things she has to look out for like a burning team mate, or a junker queen anti/bleed, or any instakill ult Her one time cleanse every 14 seconds definitely wont hard counter ana by any means lmfao ESPECIALLY if the ana does both abilities back to back. You can only cleanse one my guy

I especially like the "anti-anti" it's great to have a full counter to basically anything. This also means though, that just about everyone will have her on their team.

@@Sam_Is_The_Name no, if they are anti'd by the nade a friendly one won't remove it. Ana's nade has been a little bit of an issue since the nade counters a ton of stuff

In the dev update it was stated that Kitsune Rush gives movement speed, attack speed, cooldown reduction, AND reload speed buffs.

I have been waiting for LITERALLY ANYONE to mention that Suzu also heals allies. The gold after effect with the yellow plus signs was there in the initial gameplay reveal and not one person said a word about it. The fact that it has the heal alongside a cleanse or invulnerability frame makes this one of the most flexible abilities on a support so far

Crazy how Kiriko is the EXACT counter-play to Ana. Ana’s sleep dart and anti-nade is nullified by Kirko’s suzu. Kiriko also has walk climb and teleport, which is two more movement abilities than Ana. Three technically is you count Kiriko’s ult with its movement speed buff. Ana already wasn’t in a great spot in ow2 because of how brawly it was, but now Kiriko’s existence stamps out any value Ana had left. I was happy about the new support, but also as an Ana main, I hope Kiriko leaves some room of viability for Ana.

Ana dominates in healing department what are you talking about? She has been the best healer from the moment she is introduced in OW1. It's good we have something to dispel the anti-heal but the hero itself isn't the best healer so I think it's good. Stuff like this creates more design space for future heroes.

Meta defining hero. Practically a must for any serious and competitive team. She's got a slightly watered down version of the best parts of most of the other supports. She steals Bap's lamp and has a better version of his ult, she can cleanse Ana's nade and sleep, she can be lethal as hell like Zen but with more mobility, and she looks like she heals as fast as Mercy.

Since the moment they announced she will be the first hero behind soft paywall, it was obvious that she will be ridiculously overpowered, at least for the first few weeks. It's deliberate and calculated decision, after all what new player would pay to unlock 35th hero when they already have 34 for free, unless that hero was literally dominating every single game.

Good one! Minefield would work too. Or if it's used at a choke, Mei can quickly block off the choke the moment it's used so if I was Kiriko I would definitely use it after the wall is on cooldown. If Kiriko has a Zen, he could use Transcendence to offset the fire or mine damage. The downside to this ult is that it's a predictable area so enemies know exactly where you're gonna be.

I'd say she IS a counter to Ana, but not a HARD counter. She doesn't make her unplayable or stop her from healing her team and doing her primary goal as a healer, Kiriko just stops her from suppressing the teams healing, and cleansing the sleep won't stop the sleep from interrupting channelling abilies so sleep can still get decent value even with an enemy kiriko in the game.

@@Scarlett-bu8jo I still think sleep will have a decent amount of use, just a bit more defensive. You can still sleep enemies that dive you in the backline, and unless the Kiriko wants to use both her cool downs to immediately teleport into the enemy backline and use her suzu for one genji that dived you then I think you'll have enough time to deal with them or leave them and get away. Also interupting enemy channelling like I said. Less effective, but not usless.

Ah yes, Ana's on skill shot stun that is used 9.5/10 to save herself from being dove on. Completely ignoring that Ana has one of the strongest and most team fight winning abilites on cooldown. But nooo the scary fox girl can wake up with someone with an ability on a long cooldown that you have to as well, skill time mostly to get value out of or you waste. Also ignoring your own team can accidentally "negate anas stun" by breathing in the direction of the slept enemy. God forbid we add new interactions between kits in the game. (and I'm an Ana main. I think this character is a welcome addition.)

To be fair, Ana's anti-heal generally sh*ts on most Support casts and Tanks too. One less Tank, means less shields to block anti-heal. Baptiste's lamp may be a nice counter against that but it has a long CD and can be destroyed quickly. Lucio's ult takes very long to charge up.

I don't think she will have the impact on Ana that ya think she will, yeah she'll make her aggressive anti-nades usless, so just use the nades for team sustain. Ana sleep can still get value by interrupting channeled abilities so she can still get decent value with it over a game, obviously not as much as normal but it still has uses. Other then that, Ana can still heal her team super well and do her job as a healer. Yea she counters her and makes her less effective but she isn't a hard counter that makes Ana unplayable or valueless when they are against each other, which is what the dev team is going for.

Since it's now fully confirmed that her teleport is near instant + her having an insane close quarters kit means she's going to be nuts paired with a dive tank, eg. pairing Winston's dps with your burst + protections. Idk how I feel about protection suzu being able to both cleanse anti and wake up slept allies though, I don't like the thought of successfully sleeping a nanoblade or nanoed Rein only for a funny fox girl to tp in and wake him up with a regular cooldown, or sleeping Bob on point for him to wake up from the ability. We're probably going to have to play around baiting the protection suzu like bap's imort again, which is impossible to coordinate in solo queue.

Not only that, but whole team invulnerability means you can't solo ult without sombra because any dva bomb, rip tire, pulse bomb, death blossom and many more ults will just be negated because funny fox girl makes everyone invincible

A good counter to Kiriko's Ult might actually be Bastion's ult, which is crazy to think about, since you effectively want all the enemies to walk off Kiriko's ult zone & waste the opportunity to push with it. And if they don't move off, the Bastion ult might actually just kill them instead, if they don't have a Bap Immortality Field + a tank with a barrier to block the extra shots.

@@Alm8hoorOW That's the thing, though. With Bastion's ult, you are still able to slightly delay shots for as long as possible, so that only 1 of the 3 shots are blocked by Protection of Suzu because of how much shorter the duration for Suzu is.

From the timing of the footage, it looks like Kiriko's ultimate reduces the CD of abilities by 50% - Soldier's 15 sec heal beacon turns into a ~7 sec CD. That is absolutely fucking nuts when you add the attack speed and movement speed increase on top of that. I assume it's probably 50% or 100% attack speed. There's a lot of heroes that get absolutely mental when you cut their cooldowns in half.

Though it seems easy to aoe down kiriko lane and this character may seem op to many people but it is very punishing if you don't time everything correctly

I wonder how expensive her ult cost will be. I can see this being a crazy expensive ult charge cost like OW1 lucio, or Zarya Grav to try to balance it. But more likely this will be like Ana's Nano 1.0 Bayblade, and some part will either be taken out, or it might be reduced to a 30% increase in attack and movement, 30% ability reduction for example.

It'll be same as zen or lucio ult charges bcs of its effect although it more akin to baptiste. Either ways ults will charge lower in ow2 globally.

I love seeing a lot of ow videos coming from you again ahhh like the old days but would you make a vid talking about what if we get all new hero’s on the game pass or maybe new hero demos where you get a temporary pass to play a hero for a x amount of time like games such as Pokémon unite does but a video talking about what they could do if ow gets game pass bonuses would be really cool

Until you realize it has a set range, and you might not even know where exactly the teammate is, which can put you at risk

She's definitely going to change the meta. People may not be as inclined to use Junkerqueen due to her anti cleanse. Any doesn't matter really as she sees no play at all, but could be good in a casual setting

She does so many more things than other supports. She's junker queen for the support class.

Oh god kirikos ult and bap window are gonna be one hell of a combo

In the article they talk about a prototype power was smokebomb to create vision preventer. One of the dev comments from the interview they posted last week was that an upcoming hero will have one of the abilties that people have been asking for for a while. The smokebomb may have been given to that hero instead of Kiriko,. In fact it might serve as a tank ability that allows them to reduce the amount of damage groups get when starting tights, since people used it as a way to engage.

Also some random thoughs on the swift step: Its probably gonna be very rare to see a Kiriko die from falling off the map, because she can just TP back up. She wont easily be able to use it to escape hog hooks if he scuffs the first shot, like most blink abilities, unless her teammates are behind the hog.

With high enough sensitivity ,if you survive the Melee after his shot you can TP out. As Mercy when he pulls me, I typically turn halfway around and take the Melee to the ear, then die. But if I live I GA out. So if I survive that as Kiriko, I can 100% warp out before he Shoots/melees again.

It's been years since i played overwatch but i still kept up with it, and i want to get overwatch 2 at some point, but this one looks fun, prob my fav

Whenever I’ve thought about new support heroes for OW, I always thought it would be cool to have a cool down reduction ability for a support. So I think it’s nice they added it

The problem with the ultimate is that it's really map and location dependent. If I'm fighting on cart and we're not at the last part of a point, we just back up, give space and then go in after the ult disappears or fight around a corner.

the ult AoE looks massive, you'll have to have some serious speed to disengage from that ult

Cleansing is good but stoping ults with immortality feels like overkill,I dont think she needs that.

It is very interesting because all of her kit destroys powerful but long cool down abilities but her ultimate powers them and enables them. For example I could see you running a Anna with her as an even better Anna + zen but ultimately thing the meta will be her with Moira / zen with 2 of traser or pharra or genji or sombra or any sniper and ball to surround and destroy. Like old brig zen comps particularly with zen

This hero sounds quite strong, even more of a reason why I dislike it being locked into the battlepass.

This is the first new support im really excited for. looks so fun to play!

I think she’s going to be a really interesting addition to the roster, tbh. Her abilities make me wonder if she’s going to have the same problem that Sombra did at her launch, where she called for such a different style of gameplay than what we were used to that it took a long time for people to figure out how to actually get the full utility out of them. Her HPS being relatively low, her teleport enabling people to put themselves easily out of position, and her suzu having such a short lifetime makes me think that a lot of players are going to have to take a lot of time to get used to her before they’re going to fully unlock her potential.

She might make road hog meta, her ult and protection suzu can help him a lot

VERY good hero! Interesting af

the ultimate is going to be incredibly strong, especially with coms, but with slow healing, relatively low damage, and relatively lengthy cooldowns, I think the ultimate (depending on charge rate) is the balancing factor... only one way to tell, and we won't be able to tell until at least October 4th

With her cleansing ability they should just have it take away negative effects and instant heal for 100hp like ana and remove the immortality. Immortality feels way to oppressive to play against and will probably make playing against Kiriko a nightmare.

They added that ability because people think negative effects feel oppressive. There are a lot of negative effects in OW and this is the first cleansing ability That isn't just a self cleanse like what Reaper and Moira have. I don't think this is anything to be worried about because it has a long cool down and you can just use one of your teams other negative effects after its been used.

The timing is also insanely tight if you're trying to block a riptire, for example. It looks like the "invulnerable" part of it lasts 1 second at most.

Immortality is not oppresive at all lol. In OW1 yeah, Lamp is because of how much everyone bunched up like bananas and how long it lasted, but OW2 saw not just Lamp, but Baptiste as a whole fall out of relevance since the 1st beta because Lamp and Healing Mortars aren't big enough AoE's since everyone is playing too spread out for them to get much value. Brig is still great because while they removed Bash's stun, they made it very mobile and activate inspire with good damage. Inspire has a ridiculous range that doesn't care if the team is grouped up unlike Bap. Sozu will be the same and with a VERY short timer compared to Lamp. the Immortality effect is probably the weakest aspect compared to cleansing stuns like fking Earthshatter. Now that cleanse is a spicy effect xD

The 3 times head shot range modifier is devastating to res and other 2 second + long cool-down ability’s

I think an interesting nerf for the ult would be that in order to get the buffs you must be moving forward. The moment you either stop or move backwards you loose the buff and don't get it again in the same ult.

I love how they had to nerf the hell out of Moira in order to give her a little 4-second anti-damage on a 16 SECOND cooldown, then they create a hero with much better abilities across the board, all on half the cooldowns. Even Kiriko's "weak" non-headshot melts enemies compared to Moira's right click, her teleport goes further than Moira's fade, is INSTANT, and GOES THROUGH BLOODY WALLS, and they gave her a even better, MUCH easier to land, actually useful version of necrotic orb. I know they're just trying to get people to buy the battle pass, but seriously, show some old characters some love, without nerfing the piss out of them to get it. #buffmoiraplzkthxbye

im with you on this mainly because I love moira 😭😭😭 they couldve made the dmg reduction into a cloud instead or decreased healing area 😭😭😭

Honestly I'd rather her ult not be nerfed and instead just make it a very long charge so you won't see it as often as any other ult but when it does come out it's devastatingly powerful

well all ults in OW2 are aleady taking a long time to get, with the removal of a tank and a ult reduction, supports will not be getting as much ult charge as before

@@unclesam3245 and i wish they would reduce ult production even further, like to a degree that you can basically use it 2 times in a match when you are doing fine, 1 time if you are doing dogshit. The whole game revolved arround ultfarming, ult managment and ult callouts. Its so stupid. Game changing abilities need a massive reduction and we can go back to skill.

One thing I don't hear people talking about is that Kiriko is the first support character that doesn't have a way to heal herself beyond the basic support passive.

Agreed, and I also like how they made her damage very skill based, which helps balance it and also tickle the fancy of alot of dps mains I'm sure hehehe

I really wonder if this turns out to be balanced, with most of the other supports not receiving much change to OW1 so far.

That’s my concern too because in my mind Anna zen and mercy have kits that can compete with hers in terms of doing something different but Lucio and bap seem kinda obsolete 😂😂😂 and Moria just moria

@@greenecarlos93 Moira always works on metal ranks, she is just so survivable. Lucio should be ok with mobility and speed. Lots of flanking and regrouping, and he heals passively by presence while shooting and doing stuff. Bap is really not great for me at the moment. His vertical jump is nice but since he has to hit his nades for full effect he feels weak to me. Gameplay is just too chaotic and people wiggle and jump. You could just throw a moira orb, zen orb or connect mercy, giving more heals over time for less mechanical demand. Not sure about brig. Passive healing helps her a lot to get topped off when not being able to beat someone. But you still have to get close to trigger your healing. Your team needs to bet nearby to get the effect. And healing is moderate at best over time, not really enough to counter a burst of damage. She negates chip damage but that usually happens at range when she cannot trigger her heal. She also lost shield stun so she is no longer a good counter to several things including ults. But I guess it will take a while in general for people to figure out how to play ow2, and lots of new free players with zero game knowledge will join, so I expect chaos for the first half year minimum.

@@greenecarlos93 well they promised frequent balancing, but we also need to expect some learning time. And in the end, if OW2 isnt very much different, then winning or losing is just a roll of the dice. What teammates do you get, what has the enemy? Who plays what? Who is engaged and who is relaxed and doesnt care? Do the preferences form a good comp? Does the comp work for the map? Its just random.

So kiriko’s headshot is practically 1 hit from genjis Dragon Blade as a healer OW2 been going ALL out

Could Protective Suzu be eaten by Defense Matrix, absorbed by Kinetic Grasp, and/or repelled by Deflect? Since it's a small projectile, I figured those abilities could counter it.

One thing i wanna see with kiriko ult is a bob with 2x attack rate and a genji blade that swings 2x as much. Also a cassidy ult charging 2x as fast would be cool if thats how it works.

It has a fairly short cooldown, I would treat it like Ana nade or Baptiste lamp. No point in saving it for half the match when you can use it "all the time"

It also looks like protection suzu heals. When the bot was hit with the antinade they took damage then when the suzu hit them they were healed.

Now that's one interesting pronunciation of Kiriko lol

I will absolutely main the hell out of her, she just looks so fun to play, i really hope all heroes from ow2 are as good as junker queen and kiriko

Look mate, honestly, i am just happy overwatch is getting new heroes, yeah it's very iffy, due to the battlepass, but I think that og players of overwatch are (1) the only ones that actually seem to care since the new overwatch player base that blizzard is aiming for are already used to this type of monetization and (2) i dont think og ow players will be affected, think about it we are getting kiriko without the battle pass and if you play enough you wil gain enough free coins bouth in this and the next season to continue buying the battle passes (at least the ones with heroes in them) in a free way, and besides, i like to think this way, would you rather have a hero locked behind a battle pass (semi)pay-wall or a loot box pay wall? Or idk maybe i try to be to positive, but in anycase, we are getting overwatch back, i think that in itself is enough for me and hope that the monetization works well enough that blizzard starts investing again on the game

Rein v rein battles are going to be so different now in the shatter vs shatter game. Also i love this. I wonder if ill still be able to go mercy for early agro and ult, then if wiped or die and when teammates has ult switch off and go kiriko to protect their ult. It will be nice to not see monkeys full slept in nano now.

If you think about it shes kinda a reverse zenyatta: she can heal a little bit, instead of her ult making everyone invulnerable it's her skill and instead of her skill providing a damage boost it's her ult

You don't really need to speculate once you start a relationship with God. Can't get a response from God? Fasting can help increase your perception and prayer can help initiate events. God will ignore you if your prayer does not align with His purpose (James 4:3) or if you are approaching Him when "unclean" (Isaiah 1:15, Isaiah 59:2, Micah 3:4). Stop eating food sacrificed to idols (McDonald's, Wendy's etc) stop glorifying yourself on social media or making other images of yourself (Second Commandment), stop gossiping about other people, stop watching obscene content etc. Have a blessed day!

2:53 It's 120, not 140. Her total damage per 'mag' is 1440, not 1680.

Kiriko should not be able to wake up her allies. I’m sure to be Kiriko mains would agree, if Ana can land her sleep she should be rewarded for that play. For example if you land a sleep on a nano blading Genji, that’s huge. Now Kiriko can teleport half way across the map and negate that play. Sure she’ll be out of position and easy to punish but even if she was to die the nano blading Genji would get a team kill anyways.

So this is the perfect ana counter we needed

A lot of potential and a lot of counter, can see the ult being use as both a push and in defensive situation, like we know a heavy push is coming and in response Kiriko use her ult to boost everyone out. If used well the potential to out damage the enemy team is high. Like when the entire enemy team has to run into an open area to progress. would give the chance to come in or stay in a good position, deal a lot of damage and maybe get out or just burn the target and push in. I do believe that she is not broken, the amount of timing and skill required appear to be high, but her potential in the right hand is terrifying. The people who master her will be forces to be feared, until she is nerfed.

This world is rapidly passing away and I hope that you repent and take time to change before all out disaster occurs! Belief in messiah alone is not enough to grant you salvation - Matthew 7:21-23, John 3:3, John 3:36 (ESV is the best translation for John 3:36) if you believed in Messiah you would be following His commands as best as you could. If you are not a follower of Messiah I would highly recommend becoming one. Call on the name of Jesus and pray for Him to intervene in your life - Revelation 3:20. Contemplate how the Roman Empire fulfilled the role of the beast from the sea in Revelation 13 over the course of 1260+ years. Revelation 17 confirms that the beast is in fact Rome. From this we can conclude that A) Jesus is the Son of God and can predict the future or make it happen, B) The world leaders/nations/governments etc have been conspiring together for the last 3000+ years going back to Babylon and before, C) History as we know it is fake. You don't really need to speculate once you start a relationship with God. Can't get a response from God? Fasting can help increase your perception and prayer can help initiate events. God will ignore you if your prayer does not align with His purpose (James 4:3) or if you are approaching Him when "unclean" (Isaiah 1:15, Isaiah 59:2, Micah 3:4). Stop eating food sacrificed to idols (McDonald's, Wendy's etc) stop glorifying yourself on social media or making other images of yourself (Second Commandment), stop gossiping about other people, stop watching obscene content etc. Have a blessed day!
