I miss those days when in my high school in Russia teachers actually draw everything on the board. I came home and read a book gathering more detailed information already knowing the main points and foundation in my head. I wish our teachers in our university in the US right now would draw and explain most important thing instead of reading PowerPoints. Thank you!

That's so true! For some reason, I connect with hand-drawn pictures more and the information is more accessible to take in. Also, a teacher explaining something while drawing at the same time and adding new things as they go is so much more comprehensible and engaging than showing a static picture.
Thanks Dr. Mike, I got 96% of my midterm exam!

I've been listening to your podcasts since starting my Paramedic degree in September. Your pods and videos are an absolute godsend - the way you break information down and contextualise is just brilliant. You have one very grateful student in the UK! Thanks Dr Matt & Dr Mike :)
i cant even explain how amazing this video was. everything was clear and beautifully explained. thank you so much for your hard work idk how much time it would’ve taken me if i decided to study this alone without seeing this video. i also appreciate that u left at the end of the video. i always like taking screenshots so i can revise it later.
The development from one cell to a human being is phenomenal. I have no command of my frontal lobes due to this crime. I would love to study. Great information. Thank you.

Thank you! 😊
Thank you for such great explanation!
Thank you thank you! I'm in med school and all our lecturers seem to skip these very basic introductions to new topics and jump straight into complex medicine information. But I really need a solid base of the foundational stuff before understanding anything else, so this video was really helpful to get a general overview of the brain and its functions!!
The nicest overview about the brain 🧠 🤩🤗👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Hi DR. + IRON MIKE. 😉🔥
Ironically, i'm here to learn how my brain fonctions so i can make better use of myself, time and with others. Thank you for the education. I do have à question though, is it possible that the paretal portion of our brain is over sensitive or overactive... which could result in paranoïa or fear depending on the situation. Fyi, i stopped as you were discussing the motor goes down and senses come up for paretal to ask the question.

Also, so if someone has the jitters from an energy drink then it is related to the diminished basel ganglia? 🤯
Those biceps are soo distracting.. just so perfect
Loving the pink shirt! 👁️👄👁️
Woah so does that mean that pur consciousness and perception of freewill and what we do is only 5mm of the brain? And everything is unconscious?
