Overlanding Tennessee | Iconic Witt Road Water Crossing | Cherokee National Forest | Tellico Plains

We had a great trip from Florida to Tennessee to overland an camp in the Cherokee National Forest. This was a quickly planned trip, and we did not have a lot of time, just a couple of days, but we had an amazing time.
We took this opportunity to camp in our Gazelle T4 Plus tent in a couple of different spots right along a rushing stream. This made for peaceful times and a great atmosphere for sleeping and relaxing by the campfire.
We traveled the mountain forest roads, so it was a constant varying terrain and a change in altitudes. The forest was think in some places and open in others. We di notice a lot of downed trees. Most had been cleared from the roads, so we did not have to deal with clearing the trails.
In this video, we are on Witt Road near Tellico Plains, TN, and there were a few cool water crossings that we were able to do. It was nice to break up the drive, and a lot of fund.

Yes. Camped two nights. Both right on a creek with the soothing sounds of water. It really was a great trip!!!

They added more gravel to the entire road since you were there. Any 2wd pickup should make it no problem

@FiveAngelsOutdoor it is a bummer. The water crossings were high when I was there a few weeks back so it was a good time. Not sure if you've done Mad Dog trail. It's short but a lot of fun. Pretty sure there's a few videos of it on here.
