    Almost fall? Man, it must have taken you so long to make this. Not to mention, I can't even imagine all the time it took you for all the b-roll shots that you got. I cringe thinking what it took for you to organize all your footage. I love editing, but it can be tedious as you know. Fantastic work man. I wish I had the time and money to go on long adventures like this as much as you're able. Maybe one day! Your work is greatly appreciated. Btw.... Shelf roads are my favorite 😊

    This was pretty easy to put together just because I had done a series summer of last year and broke it up by section. I wanted people to be able to see each section individually and easily for research. But I know people also love the full length movies so I combined all of them in this video. But the initial edit of the series was brutal lol! Also, I have the time cause this is my job now. I don’t have the money though haha! But that will come in time. Thanks for watching!

    Premade food and simple meals while camping are the best. Less time doing kitchen stuff and cleanup are always a bonus. I used to love intricate meals while doing trips. I'd rather spend time playing with the dog, or going for a walk around camp before dark after a long drive. Did this whole trip last spring and it was awesome.

    My EcoFlow glacier wiring pattern: Bronco inverter to extension cord, EcoFlow AC adapter provides 200w to my Anker 757 anytime I’m moving, usb-C from Anker 757 to glacier. This ensures my glacier is always 100% full and all extra power production is dumped into the Anker’s solar input port. If I stop moving I deploy a solar panel and continue dumping solar into the Anker.

    Just makes me nervous. I know when tires are under inflated, with all the flex and movement in with and between the plys, they get really hot which can in turn make the inner liner bead and break away. I think you’re right, probably not that big of a deal at 18 psi, but I’d still just rather air up to make sure I get all the miles I can out of these.

    How often do you air down? It can be a pia doing it one wheel at a time, and more than once a trip, but I am not sure doing it just once on a typical weekend jaunt would justify an elaborate setup. And may I ask how much time you save compared to doing it one wheel at a time?

    Great video as usual. I'm curious why you, and some of your fellow creators, don't invest in APEX valve stems for airing down. I have them and absolutely love them (can be completely aired down in about a minute or so and not even be moving at combat speed). I know the one drawback for them is they are rigid and can break if the location of the valve stem on the wheel doesn't provide adequate protection, so carrying some emergency valve stems would be wise. To an extent, I'll go through what is necessary to get where I wanna go, but I'm not hardcore, if there's a bypass, I'm taking it or turning around lol. So for me, investing in the valve stems was 100% worth it in the time saved airing down, though I'm never in a hurry, but I prefer the convenience. Anyway, just curious is all. Keep the videos coming brother and stay safe out there.

  • @OFFTHEGRIND

    @OFFTHEGRIND

    2 ай бұрын

    Just take it nice and slow. The climb out you’ll need some momentum for, but the off camber low point just go nice and slow and use a spotter. I think my bronco might be more too heavy then an Astro van (unless you’re running a rooftop tent) but it’s also wider. You should be able to hug the inside a little more and give yourself more space. If you get there and you’re not feeling it though, bail. It’s also way easier to turn around coming from the north, but I’d rather have the hill on the driver side, so approaching from the south, so I can see where my tires are in relation to the edge of the trail

    Depends on what adventure you’re looking for. If you’re one of the first few after winter, there will be a lot of trail clearing from down trees, washouts, and maybe still snow. But in the late summer or fall all will be clear and you can just enjoy the views.
