Overland Adventure

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Four Wheeler Magazine Overland Adventure 2020! In this ultimate adventure we team up with Bubba Rope and Four Wheeler magazine to explore the Arizona back country roads. The off road trip starts at the Flying E Ranch in Wickenburg, Arizona with our first taste of dirt being the Hassayampa River Box Canyon Trail. From there we circle through Jerome, AZ and finally end at the historic Bumble Bee Ranch. This amazing 4x4 trip had a wide variety of vehicles which included a Toyota 4Runner, Nissan Xterra, Ford Bronco, Toyota Tacoma, Jeep Wrangler, Sprinter Van, and a Dodge power wagon.

    I appreciate that the music in this video is not overdone and that there is plenty of sound from the actual video footage. between that and the narration, it's a great added touch.

    Marlin crawler could use your intro clip to this video as to why rig set up and crawler gears are a must..lol seems to be to much gear packed into the back on most of these rigs.. slow and steady crawl is what you want on a big obstacle like that first climb.. very nice video thanks again for taking the time to record these and post them up ..

  • @RogueOverland

    Lol..... true. We were laughing about how over packed most of the rigs were..... including ours. Between the three guys, gear, food, and camera gear, we were WAY too heavy for rock crawling.

    @@RogueOverland well I for one appreciate the videos you guys do and it was only ment as a little bit of criticism for people watching who dont know why the front was lifting so easily on some of the rigs making that first climb.. its easy to set up a rig to climb vertical climbs by adding weight to the front then the trade off is it wants to nose dive on the down hill lol... finding balance for a well rounded wheeler is something most people don't think about these days .. keep up the great work I wish I had video skills like you guys do lol hopefully soon I can get my new monster out on a trail with you.

    @@RogueOverland thanks! Dad and brother both have lifted xj's and my x is stock except for the Gibson exhaust(for now)... we've been out a few times and my x did everything just as well as them. Dad was shocked at its snow performance in about 8 inches on stock Michelin tires. I understand the front suspensions are different and therefore I will not be able to do some things they can but, growing up with an 82 and 95 bronco along with wheeling throughout AZ, wa, Idaho, mt... I'm blown away by its capability. Can't wait to buy my bilstien lift!

  • @RogueOverland

    @RogueOverland

    3 жыл бұрын

    Thanks! Good idea on the video. The short answer is many years ago we switched from CB to ham radio for the increased reach. Just make sure you get a license. We have done well with the Icom and Baofeng radios. RuggedRadios.com provided radios at this event and they seemed to function well.

    Is there a bypass for the water crossing? I’m assuming the sprinter van didn’t do that or the rock climb early in the video? Also the bridge crossing before Jerome where is that ?

  • @RogueOverland

    You have to do some of the smaller water crossings but there is a bypass to the biggest water crossing and the hill climb. It’s between Jerome and Prescott, AZ. Thanks for watching!
