Overland 4x4 Touring Adventure in a Suzuki Jimny JB74 || Eurimbula National Park 4wd Day Trip

Hi Guys and Gals,
In this video I head North in my Suzuki Jimny JB74 and I explore Agnes Water, Eurimbula National Park. This National Park Lines the coastline north of the towns of Agnes Water and 1770. It is a mixture of Australian Bushland, rainforest and coastal bush with beautiful beaches coastlines.
I packed the Suzuki Jimny Jb74 with all of my gear including my Ecoflow River Pro, 40L compressor fridge, camping gear and my tyre air compressor. This trip was a spontaneous trip and unfortunately I forgot my tyre deflators and pressure gauge. Luckily I had my air compressor but I had to improvise to deflate the tyres. Once I reached Eurimbula National Park I used a rock and let out 30 seconds worth of air from each tyre. This let the tyre pressure down and bagged out the tyres to give me more traction and a comfortable ride over the corrugated and rocky trails.
After reaching Eurimbula National Park I set up my Gaia GPS topographical maps running through the Suzuki Jimny head unit. This allowed me to track my trip and everywhere I had been so I could easily back track and find my way home. I traveled along the access track which was a well maintained dirt road were you could happily travel at 60km/hr. Then I reached the entry to the national park where I crossed a cattle grid. From this point on the roads became rough and rocky with washouts and dips. Luckily I upgraded my suspension recently to a 2inch lift with Ironman Nitrogen Gas shock absorbers. The suspension handled all of the bumps and washouts really well and has definitely improved the handling on and off-road.
Firstly I headed down to Ganoonga Noonga Lookout where I parked up the Suzuki Jimny JB74 and headed out on foot. This short walk was only 400m each way with a fair few steps and rocky terrain. The trail only took me around 5 minutes as I was walking pretty quickly. Once reaching the top of Ganoonga Noonga Lookout I was surprised with a spectacular lookout over the Eurimbula National Park and out to 1770 and Agnes Water. I sent the drone up to get some aerial footage and it was really impressive. The whole region is surrouded by mountains and lined by the coastline so it was incredible to see the shaping landscape.
Once I had explored the Ganoonga Noonga lookout I headed back along the track and to the turn off for Middle Creek. This is where I selected 4wd in the Suzuki Jimny and headed along the trail. The trail gradually got rockier and muddier. Where I crossed a few dried out bog holes and some with mud still in them. Then I headed through a creek bed and along the rocky washed out trail. Further along the trail the scenery changed from Aussie Bushland to thick rainforest with sandy trails. The change in scenery and bushland along this track was amazing to see. As I reached the coastline and the campground I headed up the top of a hill at Middle Creek campground. This is where I found an incredible spot for lunch. The View down into the Creek and out to the ocean was amazing. Again I put my drone up to capture some aerial footage and I was blown away by the incredible scenery.
It was time for lunch now, as this was a spontaneous trip I didn't have much preparation time so I just made a simple meal. I picked up some fresh rolls from the local Foodworks in Agnes Water and some salad and watermelon. I made myself some salad and turkey rolls with some watermelon for lunch and relaxed in this incredible spot.
After I enjoyed a relaxing lunch It was time to pack up and head home. As I had a long journey home in the Suzuki Jimny I had to leave early. In this video I only got to explore a fraction of Eurimbula National Park, So I reckon ill definitely have to come back for a longer stay to explore this amazing National Park.
After I got back to the main road I inflated my tyres with my air compressor I had to guess how much air to put back in them because I forgot my tyre pressure gauge. When I got home I was able to adjust them properly. Surprisingly I was pretty close and got them to 34PSI by looking at the tyre sidewall and guessing.
I have fitted a few accessories to my Suzuki Jimny but there are still a few things that I would like to fit to make the vehicle suit my needs. One of those things is a roof rack system and an awning. I would also like to fit some bigger wheels to make the ride more comfortable and give me some added clearance under the Suzuki Jimny.

That campspot at the lookout looks like an awesome spot to sleep in the car. 😂 Rocky AF for a tent. If your pegs didn't break, your back would.

Beautiful! I'm totally with you on the no planning and just seeing where the tracks take you. We found the most amazing waterfall and hike yesterday while we were out adventuring in the JIMNY. Love it!

If you get the time, what is the height of your roof racks to the ground in centimeters? Cheers!. I so want a Jimny, it's just trying to get my wife to like it. She wants a Ranger, but with the cost on home interest rates going up. The jimny should fit in our budget.

Thanks for sharing that video Nick really enjoyed it. Your Jimny is starting to look really good. What are they really like off road. I’m am and r ing about buying one I really want one but not sure about driving one off road. I have never driven a small 4 wheel drive before. My last 4 wheel drive was a Patrol. The part I’m worried about is flipping it out there wheeling. So looking forward to seeing you on your next adventure

Thanks a lot Jeremy 😊 They are great offroad due to their short wheelbase and great ramp over, approach, and departure angles. As I haven't had this particular Jimny in really technical off-road situations yet I can't comment on the new jimny. But from my experience in my other 2 older jimnys and sierra swb. You do have to pick different lines and be a little cautious in very steep technical terrain because of lack of stability in the small wheelbase. In saying that the new Jimny is wider and slightly longer wheelbase then the previous generation, so it will be an improvement. 😊
