This is my step-by-step guide on how to paint Szarekh, The Silent King in the Overgrown Necrons style. The models are from Warhammer 40000 for use in the Necrons.
This model is a beast and has alot of glow effect sections. This was done using Vallejo Fluorescent paint and yellow Ink.
This could be used as a speed painting technique to paint your entire army. Give it a try!
I used lots of different basing products including;
Dried Tea
Flock
Grass Tufts
Twigs

These are the plants I used, Barbed Bracken - www.games-workshop.com/en-GB/...
You can get lots of basing materials free in Nature so if you are on a budget don't be scared to go out scavenging in the Woods or Beach. If you do this just wait until the scavenged parts are dry.

    Amazing work. I'm doing a Mephrit army and Its very important to me, for some reason, to have all the glyphs glowing and so many people don't make them glow. I was thinking of doing this same orange glow but instead of warming to yellow for the highlight energy, I was going to use a magenta/pink neon, similar to a neon tube. I really wanted there to be a Red or yellow colored LED light inside that C'tan so he glows from inside! Can't wait to see your next project.
