Overcoming the Fear & Hatred of Politics || Cultural Catalysts with Kris Vallotton & Denise Gitsham

In this week’s episode of Cultural Catalysts, Kris Vallotton sits down for a conversation with Denise Gitsham, lawyer, author and political commentator, to talk about how the Church can effectively navigate the world of politics. In their discussion, they explore the importance of political beliefs, stress where Believers should anchor their hope, and underscore the Church as the starting point for unity.

Thank you, Kris, for hosting this important conversation! I pray that "Politics for People Who Hate Politics: How to Engage without Losing Your Friends or Selling Your Soul" refreshes and inspires believers everywhere to look at politics from a better perspective. I am hopeful that we can go into this holiday (and election!) season with greater grace, peace, and influence as followers of Jesus.

I think that we have to deal with our politics not as politics but as governace. First in this regard in the Partnership of the Kingdom and not the bipartisanship in party politics. Once we as believers are satisfied on either side and in rememberance of any mantle or mandate we have given that the outcome is not divisions and sects like Paul reminded us about in his letter to the Church at Galatia but that we remain as likeminded as he Paul had ask the at Church of Corinth of Synthche and Euodia

She is articulate, with a depth for answers. Please note; "LOVE" can & will ONLY be displayed, demonstrated, shared, only when in the presence and contact with GOD. Everything else is emotional feelings. Compassion is the greatest gift, after being in the presence of God, then "TRUTH", is of the highest order for a season? God Bless. What politicians hold to the compromising OF TRUTH....

Thank you so much! We all need to live out God's love in equal measures with God's truth--having one without the other is not the way of the kingdom!

You guys are spot on. Although, sometimes I want to be right and “correct” someone or something just in order to avoid pain or discomfort that I foresee. 🤔

Democratic Republics work just fine with a moral population. This is our challenge, only Christ can change that and only the ekklesia can facilitate that shift.
