Thank you God knew I needed this the sin of comparison had me living false victories. I have always made a decision to keep to myself and mind my own now that I am 21 going on 22 I am struggling so bad because u am feeling this anew it's all alot but I have to work through this adulting and growing up thing. I thought I could love God alone like me loving him alone in my little corner was perfect, but I'm never challenged and even worse I fall back into old habits. Thank you for more than words and prayers but for something I relate to firstly is logic. I feel the word of God is a way to understand what God wants us to know because I think God is too tooo tooooooo great x10 and we just on level one. So his level of thinking and understanding surpasses our little minds in this world so I say thank you Jesus Christ for never giving up on me.

Great message! I started feeling like I have inferior biceps in comparison while watching, so I opened a new tab and just listened. LOL! Love your heart, Craig. "3 If anyone thinks he is something when he is nothing, he deceives himself. 4Each one should test his own work. Then he will have reason to boast in himself alone, and not in someone else." Galatians 6:3,4

Love this message. How true that comparison kills contentment. And we need to run the race that God has created us for. I needed this reminder. Thank you

Never compared myself until I hit 50 years of age. A friend of similar age said that for us it's out part of our midlife crisis. I keep coming back and listening to this message every few days. It has helped me tremendously to not look at other people and to run my own race stay in my lane and fine God's purpose for the remainder of my life. Thank you pastor Craig this has done wonders for me Edit: 18:25 to 22:35 was anointed I have come back to listen to this passage of this message over and over and over again this was life changing for me life changing

I want to encourage our brothers (especially pastor Craig) at life church to build a culture of expository preaching instead of topical teaching. Teach the whole council of God and teach it deeply. Tell less personal stories and dive into the text and it's true meaning. More meat less milk. Love you guys. I solemnly charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by His appearing and His kingdom: 2preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort, with great patience and instruction. 3For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires, 4and will turn away their ears from the truth and will turn aside to myths. 5But you, be sober in all things, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry. 2 Timothy 4:1-5

I just wanted to thank you for your ministry to me today (a good five years after the actual upload, granted): this has been a serious problem area for me for years! I'm a PK who grew up in a P home full of anger: in short, I was constantly compared to my Mom and given the short and pretty humiliating end of it with no where to go: I always had to stuff it. It's been so bad that I have felt like a total absolute failure as a human being (and child of God) -- and is been hard to celebrate any of my successes, and there's been some other struggles too. This is helping me get a better grasp of my past, reality in the present, and realize -- I don't need to run Mom's race to be okay in God's eyes, as well as as a person. Thankyou!

Funny how he used this story about John beating Peter in a foot race again the Sunday before last in the Called sermon

I have to disagree with something pastor Craig said toward the end of the message. He said That we would have no earthly Crown that fades away. From my own personal experience when I focus my eyes on Christ and walk my own path and run my own race I have a piece and a power that's incredible. My anxiety goes down my contentment increases my focus my goals my pursuits sharpen. my mind is sharper my decisions are better I have more energy when I focus on my race and let everybody else's fall by the wayside and maybe what he means is we won't necessarily I don't know what he means by earthly crowns but I can tell you there are benefits and reward to running your race
