Hi Is there a way to adjust the default temp? ie when I push bake it automatically starts at 350. I usually bake around 375 so every time I have to adjust. I would like to hit bake and have the display start at 375. Thanks

What does F7 mean along with continuous beeping signal. I press off button but it restarts after a few minutes. We had a power outage and this started happening.

This is the same procedure shown in my owners manual. I followed it exactly, but it did not work. Whatever temperature I set the oven to, my oven thermometer says it is actually 25 degrees lower. This is not a problem in the other (lower) oven. When I repeat the process, it shows I have it set to burn 25 degrees hotter. So I'm pretty sure I did it right. What do I do now, please?

I have double oven...by pressing bake/broil on the upper oven I go directly to SF, no up or low choice. I successfully reset the upper oven. I cannot access anything for lower oven. nothing happens with pressing bake/broil on that control. If I go back to the lower oven controls it goes directly to SF again.

Honestly I regret buying my GE electric oven with the model number JCB870SN3SS (serial number ATP55 1243P) with the suggestions of pressing bake and broil for 3 minutes and the rest. Why not just have a + or - sign to increase or decrease the oven thermostat? That’s far simpler than pressing 0 then 3 or 8. When I reached out on the GE website for help in the chat feature, there was a message that I would have to pay $2 for technical help. Nope, not paying for information that should be free in a manual ( my newest model of oven.s manual does not mention what should be done when one gets the OFFSET message which my oven gets).

I looked at the video but this is just not user friendly and very difficult for older people. The number pad does not give any indication for adjustments unless you have the manual or video and then you have to try to remember what number tells you what to do. It is a very poor design, as is. A remedy would be to have a quick instruction card that a person could keep handy attached to a new range.

How is this a stupid design. Usually you never have to calibrate an oven. I have had my GE wall oven for almost 20 years and it still works great. Also with this calibration function I can set my oven even hotter when I'm making my homemade New York Pizza so that awesome.
