I endorse this company 100%. I’ve sang it’s praises (sometimes loudly 😂) in other uploads. They are honest, ethical and want you to succeed. All you need is a sense of commitment to finally nailing relative pitch and the capacity to be gentle with yourself. This course is not difficult, it just requires your commitment and patience. It is not dissimilar to learning a new language. It’s a beautiful feeling as your ear training sessions evolve into just playing by ear. Leonardo et al will provide you with a framework to achieve this goal. Oh, and if anyone is wondering, yes, I have bought every other online course under the sun. This course truly is the Rolls Royce of ear training products. I am eternally grateful to the hard work they put into creating this stellar product. It just works. Thank you for getting to the end of this message. A delighted customer of 18 months and counting. 👍

Yes I agree, I've tried other methods for years and had limited success. I've been doing the Use Your Ear course for about 6 months and had breakthroughs that have gone past anything I've experienced previously. It's the best method I've come across and I've tried quite a few over the years, including college courses.

Hi Sergio, thanks for your comments. Sounds great! If you are following the exercises in the course while paying attention to the video explanation especially (rewatching them periodically to refresh all the essential cognitive processes to follow), you are already doing mental practice.

Sorry, this is not related to the video. I'm just starting out with zero knowledge of music, aiming to learn music by ear, but which fundamentals should I learn first? Any video recommendations? Thanks.

Thanks for your comment. Surely, ear training is the most fundamental thing I would suggest you develop, especially if you wanna learn music by ear. Where to start at in ear training closely depends on your current skill level, and I can't suggest anything in specific without understanding your situation. But we have a course and a free workshop that you can access through our website and they can help you a lot. www.useyourear.com

Hi, I started learning a music as a hobby so my question is how much training time per day your course requires?

  • @UseYourEar

Hi, thanks for your comment. Our course, is self-paced, this means that you aren't required to put in any fixed amount of time. To get consistent progress we recommend, anything between 15 to 30 min a day. Keep in mind that as soon as you develop the minimum level of skills required to work directly on real music (which is usually done in a few months), you will basically 'practice' everytime you learn a song, compose a piece, etc. That's because whatever musical task you do, you will reinforce the skills you have initiated through the course. Hope that helps. Thanks

And the number of jump cuts in this video literally makes me ill.

“practicing smarter will always be practicing harder no matter what” That statement is ridiculous. And implies that one minute of practicing smart will beat 10 years of practicing hard. Which, of course it never will.

Hi Nick, you know what's funny I went exactly through 10 years of practicing hard on the wrong method and didn't get absolutely any improvement at all. I switched to a way better approach and magically things started to improve consistently week after week, so much so that I started teaching ear training to others, quite effectively (according to their opinion)! What you are saying might be true in sports or other activities, it doesn't apply to ear training though, that's a way too complicated subject to expect that pure brute force alone would make you better at it. I've seen it on myself and on hundreds of students that shared similar experiences, you are free to believe I'm lying, but sooner or later you will understand I'm saying the truth!

Yes, I’m eight minutes in and I’ve seen about 400 jump cuts, and heard all sorts of verbiage about harder and smarter, but haven’t learned a single thing about ear training
