congrats :D

I havent listened to this song in years. Ive been struggling with addiction and its been destroying my life. This morning i woke up at 6 am due to withdrawals and felt so bad for some reason i decided to go on my first run in like 10 years. I had my headphones in, struggling to run and this song came on and pushed me forward. When the song came in at 4:25 i got chills and a smile and brought me this feeling that i can do it. Something about the cool air, the song, the morning sun and empty street just gave me a feeling of hope that i cant express. Sorry for the long "woe is me" comment, but it honestly felt surreal at the time.

I swear this song has healing powers

A beautiful song, so rich

I just pulled up to my home in Minneapolis, and literally there is a cardinal sitting on a branch looking at me. I lost my mother this year due to complications from metastatic lung cancer, and its my understanding that cardinals appearing represent loved ones who have passed coming to visit. I saw this one and I was reminded of this fantastic song, so I came to listen again and feel its power. Thanks guys.. if ever you do, please don't doubt the ability of your music to reach people. I am also a musician up here, and I'm just so grateful every time I find bands like yours. God bless you all and Merry Christmas!!!

holy crap. this song is absolutely stunning. at the part where he found the red bird again and had those flashbacks i felt an inkling of emotion and couldnt figure out why so i watched it again... its raw joy, finding who you belong with and realizing how much time you enjoyed with them. those flashbacks rly got me the third time i played them back. I fell in love with my girlfriend 8 months ago and didn't know how important she would become to me. i will be going to college this fall (6 hours away), and thinking about leaving her scares me every once in a while. not because i don't trust her - i'm scared of the gf withdrawals (i'm addicted to her i will say😅). long distance works with two people who want it to, i'm just going to miss her. i'll keep seeing the flashback memories until i leave, from all our time from the past 8 months spent together. she brings so much joy to my heart for who she is

Hey Madison, thank you for the amazing note. Hopefully by now you've seen that even if you are away from your partner, it doesn't mean they go anywhere. If you let joy lead, it will show you to the place you want to be.

I wish I knew of this song's music video earlier because I've listened to this song more as a reflection upon loss and the act of dusting myself off while feeling disoriented after a chaotic time (in my case right now a betrayal). I've always felt a comfort in the song knowing that things will be okay, but this music video has solidified that resolve for me more than I ever realized that I needed. I thought I found someone who I could grow my wings with and did for short time until everything changed. I will never give up looking for that joy in my life but I'm taking the time I need to heal through all of this. I will find it, I'm sure of it, I'm just reeling hurt right now, and that's okay.
