LYRICS:
Move one inch at a time.
Don't make shit rhyme.
Would it be easy to repeat the first line?
My mind's not a well;
It won't run dry.
Just keep drinking water and you'll be alright.
This is paralysis with no time at all to let go.
Well don't call me by my full name,
And all this is temporary.
It feels much better to know that you won't feel a thing.
Well don't talk about it;
Write it down but don't ask for help.
I can't be honest with even myself.
Did you ever wish you were somebody else?
Accomplishments are transient.
They pulled me in unremittingly.
Just lasting this long,
I feel relieved to let repetition save me.
Well don't call me by my full name,
And all this is temporary.
It feels much better to know that you won't feel a thing.
Well don't talk about it;
Write it down but don't ask for help.
I can't be honest with even myself.
Did you ever wish you were somebody else?
Move one inch at a time.
You'll be just fine.
Move one inch at a time.
You'll find...
They pulled me in but accomplishments are transient.
They pulled me in but accomplishments are transient.
Well don't call me by my full name,
And all this is temporary.
It feels much better to know that you won't feel a thing.
Well don't talk about it;
Write it down but don't ask for help.
I can't be honest with even myself.
Did you ever wish you were...
Did you ever wish you were...
Did you ever wish you were somebody else?
Just lasting this long,
I feel relieved to let repetition save me
Unremittingly (They pulled me in but) accomplishments are transient

Don't just let the hate win in any way, be good and at least somewhat positive deep inside, even if it won't result in anything. They are not underrated when 99% of the other bands in this scene have 100k views and have said Circa or Saosin inspired them to start playing. You can definitely say this genre of music is underrated, but not the band. That's just goofy. They've been on the cover of AP half a dozen times over the years and listerally shaped the genre... The title of this song never gets old. Anthony Green is simply incredible, but Steve Clifford still amazes me with every album, I personally think he's the best drummer I've ever heard, and I know he idolizes Josh Freese from NiN but at this point I think he's even better than Freese, who is also amazing, but Clifford is just so clean, so precise, and so fast, and he uses temporary changes to really just tie in with the music that also has a ton of tempo changes, always fast slow fast slow fast slow, it just makes for such a unique sound in the end, the only bands that sound anything like Circa have at one time or another all had Green as the lead singer.

    The line "my mind's not a well, it won't run dry" hints that he has a lot of problems and that they won't be ending anytime soon, giving him an endless source of writing material. when he says "accomplishments are transient" i think he's talking about his bands popularity and success. It doesn't matter how successful he gets or how happy he makes his fans, he's not getting help for his problems so his life isn't going to get any better.

    Super Sophisticated and super depressing found ways to be subtle and express being an emo with intelligence that’s kinda a waste and shows nothing to be sad for. Really life is shitty now like that you’ve got a lot more than others but that’s an example how others say this like it helps. I’m glad I can say that it doesn’t make anything better how someone else is shittier or better doesn’t help me nor does it mean I’m ungrateful for not comparing it or using it to either force myself to be toxic and envious or happy to be shitty still if you know what you want changed go change it work in it and forget what others say u can understand it but why. It’s known now that no understanding will help people use logic in a illogical way as to what purpose it’s not smart to be smart and act like it isn’t stupid to be okay and justify actions or worse thoughts for what isn’t their fault your fault or your business . Comparing what others have and do not have is not only stupid and toxic , no matter how smart you do it or sound it’s not natural so stop that justification it’s a choice and your petty . Which is also meaning your immature but in a worse way, and this is stupidity and nothing that you feel is right . Also to say others are ungrateful to not compare is also toxic because your forcing them to do what your doing but you do it for opposite reasons of comparing to be unhappy to what you lack . I swear Jealous and hateful hoe niggas complain how I’m ungrateful or complain because I have more than others do, yet they don’t have that mindset that I am supposedly ungrateful for lacking and I can see that but what does it do that’s good. I don’t need to compare to knkw what could be worse I don’t need to even think of other people and what they got to see how I’m in a ranking of what I can or cannot feel to what all is made up by you in ur head and stupid as shit. Then you got the obvious problem of comparing in general if you do it or succumb to that justification to be unhappy for others happiness. No friend is jealous or truly not happy for your good times as they would also be for you. Imagine how many times it’s made normal to know we all get jealous or think I don’t got that or how come this didn’t happen for me etc. it’s all for everything too friends boyfriends girlfriends crushes every fucking event and incident you share with a friend or someone is always using it that way in their head while they congratulate and simultaneously either plot or have feelings for whatever it is toward you like it’s your fault. “Sorry I was just mad because I know my life isnt like this ir whatever didn’t happen tj me or I didn’t get accepted or hired but you did” zNigga is not you or your life. You selfish fucks that make everything about you even for some e else’s entire life incident that has nothing to do wit you probably your sibling or your best friend or whatever which makes it 100x worse. Then cry and complain about others who complain or cry about shut your not even understanding … BY CHOICEz you don’t even notice what choice or that you choose to make it each and every time and say it’s normal . Nigga can’t use they mind for themselves and worry about hating on someone else. That’s probably why your life isn’t panning out even tho your probably better off than I lol jk but really I’m serious and it’s funny you got the luxury and effort for that negativity but don’t for positive and way less effort too. Just know what your doing and how it effects others not by how it effects your feelings it’s truly that simple not cuz you care for them but for yourself and how you are as a person dipshit. Just cause you can care less , wait… THEN CARE LESS AND STFU

    i love the lyrics in this song. i always viewed it as basically a kind of two state/location thing. on the one hand there is someone in an emergency room, or being wheeled there after an overdose, and his friends are saying 'dont call me by my full name,' they don't want to be implicated in the 'poisoning.' on the other hand , the singer is reflecting his distaste and fatigue of the music industry and writing songs, as they are constantly trying to pull him in with fake accolades, and he is tired of having to think of new things and not be repetitive , and possibly thinking about drugs/poisons as an escape.

    Anthony Green is the single most amazing singer I have ever heard in my life... hands down. I would give anything to hear him live, and to just feed off the energy he puts into his songs. You can feel the passion he has for his music in every note, and in his expression... the sheer power of his lyrics and voice are astounding... This song really puts his talent on display... I could listen to it for hours on end... "Did you ever wish you were somebody else~?"

    I think those tubes represent many different things in society we're controlled by whether it's the thoughts that we've been brainwashed with, the poison in our pharmaceuticals, the poison in our food(aka GMOs, pesticides, preservatives, animals bi-products, etc.), the poison in our air, the negative feelings and thoughts we innocently allow others to infest us with via their unhealthy attachments (masquerading as the "love" we all so desperately desire to give and receive), or any other thing one can fill in the blank with which he is addicted to or has allowed to control his autonomy in any way which as a consequence has altered who he truly is and was meant to be. *These are my thoughts after one listen. .. I'm sure after I hear this song several times they'll evolve. *This is also my first time hearing this artist and I find his voice pleasing and it is always sad to see others rip on those things or people they don't particularly like or appreciate. .. don't fucking listen if you don't like it. It really shows how pathetically small some people's lives must be.

    You don't have to submit to such things... or let it clutter your mind, its nothing new. funny thing theirs actually more poison in medicine then our food. I think this song goes out to the people who dont like our reality being limited to the world we are in and who wish to escape to a fantasy world
