Y'all, I have met Andre 3000 a few times, and can say he is the epitome of what humble is like. I used to work at a movie theater (Regal off I85 N), and it was a celebrity sighting spot. Most of these famous people would come and get escorted past the long lines by security, and into the theater. Andre 3000 is the ONLY one who would wait in the long line like he's any other customer. God bless him.

Kanye drake cudi Tyler Kendrick childish gambino is the offspring of this man. 3stacks the most unique rapper of all time and made it cool to be yourself in a genre that was always trying to be tough. Thank you 3000. You did so much for hip hop and nobody pays you the respect and acknowledges your influence on today’s generation but I will. Thank you and big boi for OutKast. Thank you for daring to be different and challenging the narrative .

@@Endless24Recovery well, he’s saying she is the prototype. She’s the black woman, he’s been searching for the original woman . & he could only impregnate her (re create himself in her) all the other women are of different “races” (not the original) woman. He’s picked up a asian child, and a old white woman & old black man, Hispanic woman and a younger white woman. When he finally found the prototype , he made her see. Her glasses were foggy, she didn’t know who she was or who he was; So he corrected her vision. He said it’s like catching the matinee ( the early bird movie ) of the original creation. You see he didn’t pro create with any of the other women , or beings… because in his scenario he couldn’t . The kiss represents “love” and combining energy. The other women / boys and man were spilling water on themselves while drinking and sleeping standing up. He was seemingly the leader looking for his other half. (The black woman) whom he then created a black child with.

It’s self. Everything goes back to self: self love: that’s the prototype 🤯 flesh meeting spirit. We thought it was about aliens, soulmates, this song is about grounding your self…walking between flesh and spirit… Your soul mate: is yourself. Your flesh meeting your spirit. Self actualization.

I remember listening to this album in my room the day it came out. I put this song on for my dad later that day, and immediately he says, "And the big fat bass line comes in...now." I just smiled in awe. Then he put on some records from the 70's that blew my mind. Turned me on to fusion in a big way.

  • @Skrzy33

Sure thing. In the way of fusion, this song kinda has a slow Stanley Clarke/George Duke vibe. I'm just gonna list some 70's fusion artists and a few of my favorite albums of theirs. If you have any specific styles you're looking for, let me know, and I'll try to point you that way. Return To Forever - Romantic Warrior (the track 'Sorceress' has a great groove) Chick Corea - Light as a Feather ('Spain' is a great track) Stanley Clarke - School Days, I Wanna Play For You Billy Cobham - Spectrum (You MUST hear this), Crosswinds, Total Eclipse, Simplicity of Expression Jean-Luc Ponty - Cosmic Messanger, Imaginary Voyage George Duke - Live on Tour in Europe, Face the Music (I like his later stuff, Chillin', Let's Roll, My Piano, etc.) Herbie Hancock - Head Hunters ('Watermelon Man' so good!), Secrets Passport - Infinity Machine (track 'Ostinato' is awesome) Al Di Meola - Elegant Gypsy, Land of the Midnight Sun Victor Wooten - Show of Hands, Soul Circus (from the 90's, but he's a great bass player. He started with Bela Fleck and the Flecktones, also fantastic) As far as fusion goes, I love the deep groove, in the pocket stuff. I also really like the driving upbeat stuff, but sometimes it can get a little too out there for me. Chick Corea is great, but he plays a million notes a second, and that doesn't quite do it for me. My favorite fusion guys are Cobham and Jean-Luc. Check out that Spectrum album. The first side is driving, a million miles an hour, and the second side is real laid back, groovy stuff. It's amazing. Very raw and genuine. They did it at Electric Lady, studio in Greenwich Village built for Jimi. Awesome space. I had the privilege of working there last year. Lots of history. Anyway, check that stuff out. You're bound to dig some of it. You play? What kind of music are you into?

Shared this with my ex, when we were together. Because her feelings weren't mutual, she acted like she didn't understand the video. But what she didn't listen to, was these lyrics: 0:25. I was hopeful, but not in love...& because I have good taste in music, I often share my good music. That's all. Nothing more, nothing less.
