Outfitting an Oldschool Whitewater Kayak
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
This is a quick edit of custom making some parts for a 20+ year old boat that needs some love. I had the camera out while doing it but filming/making a video wasn't my priority so let me know and I can put more effort into future outfitting vids if people get value from them. Folks are spoiled these days with their contour ergo outfitting. It used to be foam, glue, and creativity. I made a backband, some thigh hooks, and replaced a bunch of hardware.

Great job, will use this as inspo for the old Corsica S that's in my garage. There aint no "play" in that design but it does keep me afloat 😊
Cool video. Ps… if you replace the thigh brace material with Kydex it’ll shape just as easily as old kayak plastic, but be very rigid when it cools off. =]
I love it. It's great to see someone use their building capabilities to update an older boat. Awesome work!
I paddled a pirouette for a bit, used to do all my own outfitting too. Closed cell foam, some glue and sharkskin and sandpaper for shaping. Thigh braces and hips were all foam, backband was fabric and webbing.
I had a Pirouette S back in the day! It’s a fast boat.
Awesome craftsmanship!
What’s the max height for these?
