I love it when you call out companies on their BS.

notice how as soon as he turns the cap to check the reservoir it loses pressure? that's because this man is a retard.
Great job on this video. Great pros and cons...thank you!!!

Thank you
Great review!
We were gifted one of these. Using for the first time this week.
They could reduce the sound by adding some foam, which would add minimal weight. Times being off could leave someone soaped up needing to rinse off with cold water. If I were them, I would also give an option for an external water bladder which could be larger than 3.5 gallons if they are short on their time.
This sucks cause I just bought this And seeing this review broke my heart. I’m glad you gave an honest review. I need it for cleaning my Oru kayak and showering at times as well. i’m gonna run some test my self as well

Sorry to be barer of bad news, but test for yourself and let me know the results
Also the instructions are real vague, when u use wall charger , will the light turn green ? The gauge is reading over 12 v but the wall jack is still red

Sure power keeps it going just fine
$140.99 at Costco right now. 5/19/24.
Can you buy them for 220v we have that in Europe ?
That is BS for their numbers being so off for something so expensive! Thank you for the thorough review & a glance at your six-pack! 🙃

notice how he decides to check the reservoir while he's doing the test and as soon as he turns the cap he loses pressure. then is wondering what the heck is going on.
I don't think they're talking about the amount of water... continuous... I think they are talking about battery life, when talking about numbers. So, I think if you refilled it, you could get two solid showers at 3.5 minutes each... continuous spray! But, yes... you'd have to refill it after the first shower.

@@partyofyoung no the battery on this thing lasts forever. This thing can run for probably an hour an a half without charging

@@partyofyoung also, I own one of these units. And the water on center setting can last 7 mins. The guy in the video while testing literally screwed the cap of during the video to check the reservoir not realising that the cap is what holds the pressure. He's a meat head.
Probably 5 to 6 min of battery time. Not water time

No the battery lasts much longer then that I just think the company hyped up a product in the best conditions possible.
I was thinking having a hand pump system would have been better than battery powered.
Checking Mar/2024, they removed most of the numbers but still have it stated to be 6:30 continuously on Center under Product Features

@@raxnn Are you saying that this builds up pressure in the tank rather than pumping water from the tank into the hose?

Nice! but the Yakima will outlast this, all gaskets will fail with age so you replace them as needed. Beside this is far from cheap
Started over 9 years ago.
That's a shame about the numbers. It would be awesome for scouting!

Alright sounds like a plan they claimed in one bullet point that it would last 7:30 on center mode. Also just want to say i love everything you put out and have been watching for awhile now, youre one of the few content creators i can get my dad to sit through and watch all your videos on both channels! Keep up the good work boss man!

Wow I’m not surprised…it’s shame to see a company blatantly lying to their customers. It’s not a hard thing to figure out. I’m shocked more people aren’t bitching about it. Wow. That is a quality compliment, I’m honored to hear that. Thank you. Keep spreading the work of my content, it’s the best way to allow me to keep doing what I do!

@@GY6outdoors bruh.... i think you need to retest this and this time during the testing don't turn the cap off the resivoir. you know that keeps it pressurized right?
There are other units that heat the water and pump it for a shower for less than $200 ! Do your research and you will find them.

Oh I know, but this is a outdoor product and reviewing things like this, no matter how over priced it is, still deserves a review for those looking to buy it.
$300 is too much for that unit. There's nothing innovated enough to justify that price. It's basically a bucket, a battery, and a pump. Even if the numbers were correct, I still feel the value isn't there.

Yes it’s VERY expensive…but convenience trumps ingenuity for most people now a days sadly. This whole shower system would be straight forward to build, but convenience once again wins out for most

@GY6outdoors ya it could be built fairly easy. Might not have such a nice finished package though. I've been off grid for 2½ years now and I look at things so much different than I used to. Not to mention 60 mile trip just to go get some hardware. So improvising has become a big part of the way I see things

@@GY6outdoors you are a moron man. do you think that the unit would be pressurised still while you are checking the reservoir mid testing? no wonder you lost pressure after turning the cap off. give me a break man. use your head for once.
..$300 DOLLARS? ....NO!
This numbers thing needs to be retested. In another video the guy clearly stated that they are talking about the center holes on the sprayer. It's clear you had it on the outside holes, in other words, you were using probably 50-75% more holes than they were claiming which would put their lies right into the spec they claim.... making it your mistake and not them lying about their claims. You owe them a retest if that is in fact the case. Am I right or am I right, should only take about 7 min or so and a quick explanation on the mistake.
