Just waiting patiently for the CX-50 hybrid. I hope the base trim for the hybrid is the same as the Select trim here, best bang for the buck. Everything I need and nothing I don't. I'd take those mixed cloth/leatherette seats over full leather any day. It would also be nice if that Alabama plant would produce a CX-30 hybrid using the 2.0L hybrid from the Corolla Cross. Same factory, and the CX-50 uses the CX-30 platform anyways.

While I like my 2023 CX-50 Preferred Plus, for my next one it will probably be a 2026 CX-50 Select. I almost never use the sun/moon roof, I'm the only driver so I never have to adjust the power seat. The power liftgate is nice, but not necessary, so I might as well go with a less expensive model.

It was nice to see what the cargo/rear seat protection looks like. I have a 2024 turbo premium on order and decided to go with the same cargo option, along with the retractable cargo cover and the mud guards. Those are about the only options I was interested in. Weathertech didn't offer any protection for the cargo area beyond the basic mat...at least Mazdo thought about the back of the rear seats.

Honestly though, my ideal CX-50 would've been this Select trim but with a turbo engine. Mazda won't do it because they always like to bundle the turbo with a bunch of other unnecessary features that people want (like a power lift gate, just use your arms) but yeah, the Select with more power would've been great. If Mazda makes a base Select trim for the hybrid, that would be a good compromise.
