After decimating my outdoor copepod cultures over the course of a couple of weeks a while back, I started a few new cultures. I transferred 1 litre of the main/original culture into each 3 litre bottle, adding a litre of tank water (after a water change), leaving 3 weeks and adding a further litre of freshly mixed saltwater. This is around 12 weeks since I did that and safe to say, the population has exploded again. The resilience of these tiny creatures never fails to amaze me. They've been outside through all 4 seasons, all sorts of temps and conditions, in a 3 litre bottle and still they thrive. 👏👏👏
