Yeah, at that critical mass of mangonels, there's only one thing that'll counter it - your own critical mass of mangonels target firing on his mangonels.

Four kills and victory the wonder victory against two players counts as extra points

props to avely, played that one out very well. he could have rushed a wonder when sas was defeated, but beasty was waiting for it with 55 villagers, likely no chance. part of me thinks that if avely made his defense in the top corner and flooded that with cannon towers, he could have tried a wonder when there were 4 players

I think avely if he got the "feelings" to go for wonder before beasty then he 100% would have won the game. Beasty was prepared all for that tho!

That's one of the roughest parts about the whole situation, the 2 players remaining were Mongols, the civ that gets weaker Trebs. Even then, while i agree that Treb/Bombard would prolly have been for the best, its a comp that really needs to grind through the base, and Beasty just had far too big of a defense for them to beat it on time with only 2 players

@@tobiobogaming742 While i agree that it would have helped, im not sure they would be good enough to be the difference maker. Ultimately, Hui Hui Paos are a rather limited, hard to replace resource, meaning that as soon as the original mass of them is killed (Which, given how well Beasty repelled the early waves and killed the siege/production, would have happened), you dont really have the means of quickly replacing them back up to high numbers (As they build slowly, and only from a single building at a time). Eventually, when all you have is one or two of these improved Trebs in the middle of +200 pop armies clashing, the difference they make becomes kinda minimal. I do agree, though, that the Khan's Palace is worth exploring in Mongol FFA as a source of improved siege though, as the value of being able to cover this big weakness in lacking Counterweight Trebs (So long as you can keep your siege line protected) might be more relevant on these lategame scenarios than the trickle of stone from the White Stupa

@@drowsyCoffee I see your point, you'd basically have to split your army, using units to defend the siege that are needed at the fronlines. Also choice of landmark strongly depends on whether or not you are on offense/defense. Thx for sharing your thoughts!

Great commentary, but that observer, you should have a talking to him.

Liked the switch to mass MAA instead of knights. Knights get countered too hard by mass spear, seems like they are mainly useful for keeping your opponent on their own side of the map but if they push across the map it's hard to stop them with knights.

I think the keeps helped by forcing them to build cannons/trebs/rams instead of mass springald mangonel, which is Hwy his army was always able to win the engagements.

How to enter this special replay mode ?

Could you run 8 player FFA with one player not playing, just there as observer. They don’t build just delete the king at the start so they can hang around in game with chat?

He can't sometimes. If the player that he's streaming the chat from gets eliminated and then leaves the game then the chat is gone too.

wow age of empires 4 actually looks and plays like a real age of empires game. I was saddened by aoe 3.

Man and this didn't even look like beasty was trying hard

4 kills in the first 20minutes ... CRAZY. BeastyQT is just too good for them! His APM is insane!

This one was a little less thrilling than the others for me. It's frustrating watching players letting one player get max 300 population, uncontested. Can we lower the bonus population to 25? This game felt certain for about thirty five mins. I feel Avery did so well though, especially as he early on realized that beasty needed attacking. Great commentating and great content, thank you Drongo!

Drongo...i love your channel, but sometimes you are a little bid slow
