That info about Kino having the rights to Sleepaway Camp is just a myth~they actually came out and said they don't have them on the forums. If you think about it, if any company paid for the rights they might as well put them out and recoup whatever money was spent on them, you know?

@@jeffharrington-kb5nb yes but does not help region 1 bluray locked people. I have 4k and 4k is region free even though most don't know that. But dvd bluray from any region then A or 1 we can not see. And no I don't want region free just too be able too buy movies that will be available here eventually.

The poltergeist sequels are very out of print too.

We so need a re-release of Ghost Town (1988). Great video, sir.

So glad to have that release. I originally found it as an old unmarked VHS tape. Never heard of it but saw “Charles Band” in the opening credits and knew I was in for a good time.

I found Jeepers Creepers 1 & 2 at the flea market last week for a buck each. They didn't have the slips which sucks but I'm happy to have em anyway.

Got the Slumber Party Massacre 1&2 from SF on sale $18.99 last week.

I love the slipcover artwork for the Blu ray of Return of the Living Dead, so much so I paid for a custom slipcover for the 4K edition that replicates the Blu ray's slip but with the 4K banner and logos.

Some out of print SF I'm happy to have (besides ones you already mentioned) include the Jamie Lee Curtis classic Terror Train (1980) and the 1978 remake of Invasion of the Body Snatchers.

Sell it and get the Vinegar Syndrome 4k of Incredible Melting Man

Is CHH capable of selling?

I've actually never heard anyone say they prefer Slumber Party Massacre 3 over 2, but it's anyone's guess what's up with that one, along with Sorority House Massacre 2 and Hard To Die. Considering that Shout Factory owns Roger Corman's library, the artificial scarcity is perplexing. There's no evidence that Kino has the license to the Sleepaway Camp sequels, and if they did it would be a no brainer for the Kino Cult line even if they felt it wasn't Studio Classics quality. A re-release is not hopeless. There's a TON of MGM stuff that's currently out of print. Kino's blu-ray of New Year's Evil is a fantastic upgrade. The new 2K transfer is stunning. There's no new features, but don't hesitate to grab it on a sale. Troll 2 is too ambitious and entertaining to qualify as one of the worst movies ever made. It's not even one the worst movies Claudio Fragrasso's ever made lol. Synapse licensed The Exterminator from James Glickenhaus, or whoever owns his library now. Exterminator 2 is a Canon/MGM property. You should check out The Exterminator and The Incredible Melting Man as soon as possible. "I'm Doctor Ted Nelson!!!"

I originally really wanted those individual releases of Jeepers Creepers 1 and 2 with the slipcovers but I ended up getting the double feature blu ray from Shout Factory which I’m super happy with. 1. It was way cheaper, 2. It takes up one space on the shelf instead of two, and 3. The reverse of the insert features the original poster art for both movies 😍

I am glad I bought all 3 of the sleepaway camp from SF and got them all with slipcovers when they was released from SF. Sleepaway Camp 2 is my my favorite,but I do love all 3 of them.Love return of the living dead,but part 2 is my favorite,part 2 was the first horror/comedy movie i saw when i was a kid,so part 2 is special to me.love your videos.

Jeepers Creepers 1-2 are OOP and most likely never going to get a repressing from any label IMO so the first one with a 2K scan is the best I’ve ever seen the movies

I have a collection of old Fangoria magazines, and in one of the issues that came out around the release "Howling II" they interviewed Christopher Lee and asked why he chose to star in this film. He told the interviewer that throughout his career, he had always wanted to be in a werewolf movie since he had been in vampire films and Frankenstein films, and this movie was his chance to finally be in a werewolf. It's a shame the movie he chose was this film.

Kino had picked up several former Scream Factory titles and New Year's Evil is one of them. I've got the Kino version which is still available. What I find odd is many of their former SF titles do include the SF bonus material. Sticking with New Year's Evil, Kino's has Shout Factory presents The Making Of New Year's Evil documentary. Other former SF titles I have by Kino are Misery, Invasion Of The Body Snatchers and Leviathan.

I saw that Second Sight is releasing a Possessor set and surprised you haven't reviewed that movie.

I just watched Dungeonmaster for the very first time last night. I watched the pre-release version with the titties and the bush, very tasteful bush. WTF did I watch??

If Amazon would have let MGM keep their home entertainment division, we would not have half of these botique labels and the MGM library would be in print all the time and able to order off Amazon at anytime with all the bells and whistles with every format. Bad management.

I loved the Midnite Movies line for what it was, but these boutique labels do far more justice for the MGM/A.I.P./Canon library.

I would go ahead and sell that Melting Man blu ray, it's obsolete now. I have all those Howling 2, Troll, Ghoulies, Prison, Exterminator 2 (and part 1 from Arrow), The Beast Within, Dungeonmaster/Eliminators, Dolls, Sleepaway Camp 2-3 blu rays. I actually like the blue banner on those old SF blu rays!

I got the howling two scream factory blu-ray at a local goodwill for $2.50 and I was like I didn’t know this was a thing I seen it was OOP and said ok need to have it and bought it

Sell the blu ray for melting man and get that 4K when it goes on sale, I got it for $15 during one of their partner week deals

Howling 2 is garbage but I love it anyway!

Manhunter isn't a bad movie by any means, but it's my least favorite adaptation of Red Dragon. TV series included. As a fan of the novel at least.

Manhunter was the only Hannibal Lecter movie out for a while and it was awesome for that period of time. I luv 'em all too. The series, imo, is awesome. Great acting and writing.

Can anyone run down the state of the Sleepaway Camp rumors CHH is referring to?

Manhunter is a shame - over here in the UK you can get quite an inexpensive release from Studio Canal which appears to be a direct rip of the old special edition DVD special features and all - that slip cover on the Scream Factory one though. I have been tempted a couple of times on eBay but you are looking at well over £100 can’t pay that for one movie even if it is a favourite. I feel at some stage that one will get a nice 4K release. I’m kind of on the Fence as to Red Dragon Vs Manhunter - I’m a fan of the Lecter novels and Red Dragon stays much truer to the source material - the worst part about Manhunter is that Dolarhyde’s story is squeezed into the last 15 minutes - I feel there’s way not enough of his motivations in there. Manhunter is basically the Will Graham show, but on the other hand William Peterson is simply great in the movie. I’m not a big Ed Norton fan at the best of times, but his Will Graham in Red Dragon is wooden as hell.

I've always liked Manhunter waaaaaaaay more than Red Dragon. In spite of all the star power, Red Dragon falls a bit flat.

You missed out buying Evil Speak, always enjoyed this bad film since I saw it in 82.

When it comes to slip covers if you're not putting out (vinegar Syndrome)quality don't waste my time.They're not worth collecting

How about 1977's The Ascent, or 1966's Khartoum, or 1976's The Signalman....? Have u seen them wee man ;) There are 'films' and then there are cartoons... And stop buying shit... download them.... Sharing (albeit electronically) is caring! Packaging is swaddling for the creature whose natural development has been arrested ;) Apart from that, carry on....

There was a Howling “trilogy” set that includes part 3, 5 & 6 that’s Oop now too. I’m pretty sure I bought it from Shout factory a while back. Not sure what happened to part 4 lol must be a rights issue.
