so suffocate them to bring me back to life ? u.k is corrupt as f. the logic of this is moronic. lets breack this down. put a towel over their head to block moving air in case of covid-19 then proceed to do cpr. well the first step is called murder

It is also of high priority before the emergency services arrive, to ensure that you are wearing matching socks.

@@WeAreTheMachines kinda isn't put a towel over your own face and tell me whether you can still breathe or not the aim of CPR is to keep the blood pumping so that oxygen can reach the body and reduce the risk of brain damage. Can I ask are you a medical professional cos if not your talking absolute shit.

Okay, I'm not a doctor, but isn't the point of cpr to continue supplying some amount of blood & oxygen to the body until the person can be resuscitated? Kinda seems like taking the oxygen out of the mix would defeat the whole purpose, right?

Ultimately, yes. For the first few minutes though there is still enough O2 in the blood and left in the lungs to maintain life, if someone pumps the chest.

I agree that this may come back to haunt us. If it`s a Paediatric patient, it`s highly likely that it`s a Respiratory Arrest and they need ventilating so the kids gonna die. Also where`s the opening of the Airway and an inspection of it? You don`t have to get your head in there for f**** sake
