when I first saw that guy I was like "where do I know him from?" it was eerie. He's got such a distinct face, but when you're used to seeing it with makeup on..

100% guaranteed that having go up the Icon's butt to see the inside of the model was intentional by someone at id.

I love that speedrunners already found the dev teleporter room and are using it to skip sections of the game.

The "dev room" on the doom base is used for the model viewer which you access from the collectable figures wall and the weapons wall

6:49 I actually found this one quite a while ago when I was testing what happens when you die as the revenant drone. It glitched me into the cultist Base and I had free roam as the revenant. I exited the mission and returned to the fortress of Doom as a revenant. The first few rooms were modeled completely, but as soon as I got to this area, almost everything was missing, but collision was still on, so I could explore. When in the Doom slayers room, it's super bright because the water from the first floor is right above it. Also, elevators and certain doors wouldn't work for me. So I couldn't go to the ripatorium.

Those arent floating arms. Thats the doomslayers stand . He is the next jojo Protagonist .

Why does everyone think they changed his eyes to brown? It has always been brown. It was brown in the original Doom 1 poster, it was brown in the end screen of episode 4 in Ultimate Doom. Maybe it's because his eyes kinda look blue in the hud? except that it's not blue, it's grey. It's just so that the white of the eyes blend with the black pupils so that he doesnt look too bug eyed.

@@felynecomrade well, even during the level you see him walking and you see his legs, and in the transition to phase 2, you see him walk away, you clearly see his legs

That room with just the metal texture (7:43) is where the camera is moved to when viewing collectables :) If you go into collectable viewer mode and then start moving the camera then you'll see!

My thought is the extra building you can’t reach in the hud is for the dlc that’ll come out

Some cubes are used as scales when modeling. For instance, I’ll often use a 6ft tall cube in scenes so I can have an idea of how a person would fit in it. Larger ones can be a scale for building height.

Funfact: The Doom Slayer model from DOOM 2016 was a whopping 250Mb in size(including textures) which is absolutely massive for a 3D model, and the model used in DOOM Eternal makes that one look like a plastic toy, I can only imagine how large the file thats used in Eternal is.

I mean, it probably goes without saying that we all really need to see Final Fantasy VII: Remake on this channel soon. But if I were to point to a specific part I'd hope to see, it'd be that skybox you get when you're in the slums and can see the Midgar plate above. It's all just so amazingly rendered and I'd like to see if any of that is "real", meaning, actually rendered or if it's just an image.

you mean episode 3. Episode 4 doesnt have an ending screen. only episode 3. episode 3 is the official ending of doom. Ultimate doom got jutst a 4rth episode added that technically got nothing to do anymore with the game.

The black room that’s out of bounds in the fortress of doom looks like the model viewing room, for the toys and guns. I’m not 100% sure, but it’s the same textures.

The giant black cube in the Fortress of Doom is actually the room used to load up the models of enemies/weapons/doomguy when you inspect the toy collection.

Please do an Out of Bounds video for Resident Evil 0! I've been waiting for that one forever!

That Dev room for the Fortress of Doom is probably where the models of the demons spawn when viewing them in your collectables.

They really dropped the ball not hiding a Romero inside the Icon's head, but props to them for making you go up its ass to check.
