Thank you, it’s pretty devastating for Australia, but we are fortunate where we live that the fires happened a few months back when conditions were a bit better. 🙏

O.m.gosh!!! I didn't know there were other people who loved Rocks like we do here in the Four Corners Area of the U.S. We go out Rockhounding just like you guys do and as often as we can. I can remember the times each of us got our first saw or grinder... The trials and tribulations we had in the heat of the Utah Desert, trying out hundreds of "fanny packs" and "back packs" and how the days would go by and we would find ourselves 20 miles from the truck with 60 pounds of Rocks on our backs and every pocket full and even both hands full and the moon coming up so we would drag all those rocks back and never once think about leaving some behind to lighten our loads! I smiled the whole time I watched this and I just subscribed! Thanks for this wonderful video guys!

First I wanna say; It’s a pleasure for me, to see you so friendly together. I’m 54 now and live in a trailer in Germany. Children and wifes are grown now, have their own lifes. So - I’m free again and plan to travel to my sister to L.A. (if’ts possible again) , help her a bit, to built shelters for her thousand rescued animals and make my journeys then from her place around USA. Want to travel the continent low budget and see whats next. Half of my life I am a stone man (made artwork ans stuff). I can imagine your joy of this “basic instinct- phantastics”. I too am a noob in rock hunting. The joy of finding a beautiful stone, the excitement of getting a new toy LOL...all I am missing is the company you have while searching. I am older, so a day of rockhounding means three days of recovery. I am severely limited as to where I can go as I am a caregiver to my 91-year-old mom who worries about me going off to the rivers alone. Still, I will keep hunting and my friends expect me to scream out ROCK! when I see a pretty one I can pick up......it makes me happy.

@@Rookie_Rockounding I cared for my dad until his passing, helped care for my big brother until he passed three years ago and am taking care of mom. Funny how I find my calling in life 5 years before retirement age. I am happy finding pretty jaspers and other stones but when I move to Arizona I am going for fire agates and turquoise....maybe amethyst.

OMG!! You guys rock!! Literally! Reminds me so much of my rockhounding adventures years ago with brother & dad. My dad, a geologist, always knew where to look for cool stuff; and brother with his 4 wheel drive could get us there. (New Mexico, USA) Also, with brother being a machinist, he was able to construct a great rock saw and polisher, and so produced some really awesome pieces. Thick and heavy petrified wood made gorgeous book ends, and thin cut slabs of agate we used to make wind chimes. Lost my brother to cancer, and dad is 92 yrs old now; leaves me without any buddies to hound with :.( So watching your videos is like re-living those adventurous days! Thank you for sharing! "A pleasure shared is a pleasure doubled". Rock on!! :0)

I feel like you would totally get me! I'm sitting at my desk typing this post with a hunk of California Obsidian that my son and I found at Coso Volcanic Field, and I can't believe that it chose me. Oh man...what a feeling to find the perfect rock! I wish my wife would understand the peace this brings to me, especially with the world so topsy-turvey. I wish we had Chalcedonies like that here, mate! What a feeling! Cheers!

gina lanning Ohhhh I love that! That’s exactly what it is, “little boy” looks. I said when we went on our last adventure (the next video in the new year) that I just love the adventure. The excitement and wonder makes you feel like a kid again. Getting lost up a creek in the rainforest, finding treasures that probably mean more to you than anyone else, that’s what makes this such a passion for me. I never thought I could do this. And I am with the help of some seriously amazing people. Yourself included my sister. my mind is blown by the massive level of joy I get out of sharing two of my favourite hobby’s and outlets. Rockhounding and video editing. It’s a treasure, I hope you and your family have had an astounding Christmas and a happy new year. Thank you for all that you have done for me. I mean that. I recently bought someone's entire multiple generation collection. I have spent hours looking threw thousands of rocks. I only can imagine the fun it was finding all of them! Can't wait to learn about them.

@@Rookie_Rockounding It's going great! They seem to be all separated into categories. Each jar I open has something new in it. Never regular rocks. All are something special. I started finding pieces of paper in some jars that had the states the rocks came from. At one point I think they were all labeled. I'm going to start a channel where I go through all of them and hope to get some feed back on what they are. Erin James Ha! Yeah! I heard this song and used it for another of my videos and whenever I use it, I’ve never felt able to place any other music with it. It’s such a beautiful song. All of his are. He’s from Brisbane too which is only an hour from me! But I think he’s overseas now. But such a composer!!!
