How much do they cost?

I accidentally ended up with a green terror only tank. They range from 2-5 inches. They're awesome, very kool to watch and they wear the most amazing war paint lol

Convict cichlids are by far my favorite. Especially Polar Blue Convicts.

Discus are my dream. I am currently saving to special order 6 of my favorite discus variants. I knew I had to have them the first time I ever saw a photo of one. I don’t know what it is about them, but they’re glorious and unmatched. Everything about them I adore. I cannot WAIT to get my hands on a big, beautiful shoal of them. My life will then be complete 🥰❤️

Discus is very labour oriented hard back breaking maintenance fish to keep. A very high sensitive fish to keep. A slight variation in temperature, PH level and water TDS will bring disaster in your tank. Also the tank size has to be large to accommodate. Four times with fifty percent gravel vacuum water change is the must routine for this type. Grooming is very essential for this type, so lazy goers beware.

I’ve got to say out of all the cichlids my turquoise Severum has got to be my favorite

My favorite fish is the jewel fish, Jack dempsey, and peacocks

Great cichlids!

My favorite has to be the Firemouth. The intense red coloration and they're gill flaring among the other fishes makes them so unique.

Great video, love your channel. I bought a 125 gallon specifically to have a JD. I also got a few severums and I have to admit they really grew on me. So much so I bought a few more to make it 4 total. Great personalities, and I literally have to push them out of my way when I clean their tank. Big Red is my favorite fish of yours, he's a good looking fish!

Love it brother . Just got into cichlids with 6 angelfish hope it goes well and I can transition into more cichlids .. but my favorite would have to be the peacock bass 🖤

I totally agree with the Green Terror being #1 . I have a pair that's spawned for me four time and they are amazing. Also have EBA and Silvani that I got from watching your videos. Had them for about two years now and truly enjoy them. Only cichlid I will never own again are convicts.

One of you bros really digs BLUE fish. So do I. Great video fellas.

It's Sevrum as I love how it's easy it is to keep them and offcourse their colour and personality.

I enjoyed this vid as I do all of them. I’m a Cichlid sister, and I can give thanks to my teacher, who many decades ago, introduced them to me, by having a tank in the classroom. Yeah, I just got a 75 gallon tank and I now plan to put an oscar in it. It’s gonna be awesome. It’s my first ever cichlid even though I have been in the hobby for 5+ years. They are the ones who inspired me to start saving for the supplies and fish

Bolivian Rams are the cutest things and have some pretty neat behaviors. They never get any love in these lists and I think they are amazingly.

I kept lake Malawai cichlids as a kid. Flowerhorns (or “Luo Han”, in Mandarin) were all the rage as a fish that symbolises luck, and I had NO IDEA until now that they were cichlids. In Asia, Flowerhorns are advertised and discussed quite differently and separately from the other cichlids.

I love my Electric Blue Jack Dempsey!

My all time favorite cichlid is the bumblebee. So much spunk and personality in a small package.

My favorite is the Midas cichlid and also Severums

Some of the Cichlids that i got are 2 Oscar cichlids, 1 Red Devil, 1 Salvini cichlid, 1 Redhead cichlid, 1 Zebra tilapia, 6 Jack Dempsey cichlids, Many Convict cichlids, 4 Blood Parrot cichlids, 1 Cuban cichlid and a Red Dragon Flowerhorn cichlid

Electric blue acara are my favourite then the true blue acara. Both gorgeous fish.

i 100% agree with Andinoacara rivulatus as your #1! ive had many of them over the years and they rarely disappoint, although a few of them were psychotic killing machines with almost snakehead attitudes. my second is the Faciatus 5 spot banded jewel!

Also I love the background on your tank the rock look. My tank has a permanent blue. I bought it from someone. It’s a 75 gallon

Nothing beats the EBA for beauty- but the attitude!! I love how the Eyebiter is a “Fish that will really catch your eye”-🤣🤣🤣 I also love my Geo Winemilleri, Balzanii, Severums- & I’d love a Panda Uaru! Sooo, hard pressed to pick a favorite!

Those were all beautiful but my favorite one is the 1 you started off with The electric blue akara

C. festivum. Good community fish for a medium size cichlid, had C. severum, plecostomus in same tank. Deep body, diagonal black stripe, beautiful breeding color.

Jack Dempsey and Jewel fish are my two favorite cichlids

Love Oscar's, Flower Horn, Green Terror & Jack Dempsey....but all time favorite and didn't make your list is the True Festae aka Red Terror. A beautiful fish!

Gotta go w the Discus. Their extremely challenging I currently don’t live in an area where I can offer them the correct ph levels in the water I have. But they are such a rewarding go big or go home fish. They thrived where I was w em originally however soon as I moved water conditions changed & I literally watched em all wither away d die on me. Devastated but still love em

I got two Jack Dempseys.

I have an Electric Blue Acara and a key hole Cichlid, there like puppy dogs when I clean inside their tank they follow my hand around the tank around.

Great video! Loved the breakdowns and fully agree with #1. But blood parrots with their beautiful color and personalities...they didn't make this list?!? I love my 2 BPs and GT.

Wonderful videos...for me hands down Oscars

I currently have German Blue and Bolivian Rams. There's so much personality in a small package. I've had Frontosa, Jack Dempsey and yellow labs in the past and I absolutely loved them all!

The black widow Frontosa and Peacock Bass are my favorites.

The electric blue acara is very pretty also. And flowerhorns are awesome & I do have them. Their biggest downfall is their a one fish tank. Which makes for Alota wasted space. I love my 2 Jacks. Ones super dark the others almost see thru. So wow no discus or angels made your list.

Favourite Cichlid I own is my Cuban- Cichlid I would like to try keep is the Vieja Argentea. Your Green Terror is amazing. Can’t believe the Salvini didn’t make too 10!

Very nice! I’ve considered getting a Cuban recently. The Salvini is great, but has been pretty frustrating/aggressive of late. Still an awesome fish tho!

My favorite cichlid is Cyphotilpia Frontosa. I have a colony in a 180 gallon. Mine come from collection point Kitumba.

Great video, even better teamwork!! I'm trying to decide on doing a cichlid tank again or semi-aggresive freshwater with Arrowana, Arnate bichir, green terror, 2 iridescent sharks, red terror maybe a cichlid or 2. Always loved the look and personality of firemouth cichlid. Mbuna cichlids or gorgeous but are aggressive. Peacock cichlids are always very gorgeous, but less aggressive. Fyi. Thanks guy's.

Please be mindful that Iridescent sharks grow VERY fast and can reach lengths of 5 feet

After seeing ur green terror I also bought 1 setting up a 120 gallon

eba are my fav...i kept them in my planted aquarium...

I got three firemouth's I love them.

Electric yellow for me, but the JD is right behind. Idk very many of the others. I have seen some awesome 1s. None other mentioned on this video aside from the JD.

I got a question I saw petco had a flowerhorn and was wondering 1 can a flower be in the tank with other fish like a convict and a electric blue jack Dempsey. 2 can they be in a 55 gallon

Does Planted tank recomended for Chichlids? I have 67 gallon tank with drift wood, jave fern, anubias, grass and moss.

I bought a Livingstoni a year ago and he was about 2 inches long. Hes like 6 or 7 inches long now and amazing colors. Problem is he is to big and aggressive for my 75 gallon tank

Great presentation however you just added to my frustration . I am a novice fish keeper with a 150 gallon tank . But do to lack of experience to don't how to utilize it . My current favorite, a year after setup, is the Rusty cichlid, think it’s colors will keep popping if keep tank right.

I'm still new to the hobby and have smaller tanks so I'm into dwarf cichlids right now. I absolutely adore my kribensis and bolivian rams

We’ve only had the one flowerhorn so far, which is a short-body female. She’s been the classroom favorite, since she’s always so interactive. They’re great fish to keep!
