What sells depends on many factors, but simple conceptual photos are our best-selling photos, hands down. Also, interior images are tying for the second place with landscape photos.
If you only focus on commercial images, you may be missing on income from editorial content. A few of our editorial pictures proved to be best selling stock photos, even though they depict something that is a saturated niche.

Are you using ftps protocol with "use explicit ftp over tls if available"? This could cause your error. You can read more here: support.submit.shutterstock.com/s/article/How-do-I-upload-content-via-FTPS?language=en_US

Would have been nice to know the amount of money those photos generated. If someone licenses a photo a thousand times but every time the profit is 1 cent is not the same than earning thousands of dollars.

Sorry, we won't say the actual amount these photos earned. But, taking our entire portfolio into account, we earn a living from stock photography, and earn enough money to be able to travel and live in the USA. The profit is definitely not 1 cent every time, nor hundreds of dollars at a time, but adds up to a reasonable amount the larger our portfolio gets.
