Our Safari HoneyMoon In Africa Vlog | HotTubs, Hikes & Hakuna Matata! (Empakaai Crater) Day 4

In this video, Trey and Zoe embark on a once in a lifetime Safari to the Great Plains of the Serengeti in Tanzania Africa for their HoneyMoon. Day 4 started at The Highlands Camp with coffee brought to our room bright and early. We enjoyed a beautiful breakfast while watching the sunrise. On this day, we are going on a hike to the Empakaai Crater. Before starting our hike, we stopped to see the Oldoinyo Lengai Volcano. This is Tanzania’s most active volcano. On our hike down to the crater, we learned all about the fig trees and how they grow around other trees, eventually killing the other tree. Once we made it to the crater floor, we saw lots of birds, Flamingos, Bush Bucks and Baboons. We were treated to a beautiful picnic and sat while enjoying the views. We made the hike back up to the top of the crater and headed back to the Highlands Camp. We were greeted with so much energy and headed to a late lunch. After that, the staff prepared the jacuzzi in the HoneyMoon Suite for us to celebrate our HoneyMoon. We had such an amazing time relaxing in the jacuzzi while listening to nature and overlooking the mountatins. After that, we took a nap in our tent before heading to our last dinner at The Highlands Camp.
At dinner, the entire staff put on a special celebration for Zoe and I to celebrate our HoneyMoon. This celebration was filled with so much fun and love, it really took a toll on our emotions. Zoe and I will forever be grateful for everyone we met at The Highlands Camp. The experience there was beyond fantastic and we would highly recommend a stay there to anyone interested. We will cherish the memories made there forever.

Great question, Zoe and I discussed this recently. Covid was the worst part of this trip but on the positive side, we found ourselves alone most of the trip. With the tourist season just opening back up after Covid, it was like we had all of our stays to ourselves. This resulted in staff providing us almost all of their love and attention. So Covid was the worst but also kinda the best part about this trip!
