Rebecca nails it with the HR story. Harry also said ‘he was embarrassed’, and since when? I remember the interview with Harry and William; and I remember how Harry opened up about seeing a therapist because William talked to him about his anger and pain. But the thing that gets me is Meghan claims to be such a strong, independent woman, and she chose her doctors at a different hospital-all very private. So why didn’t she contact them for help? It makes no sense at all. I really thing she’s playing on Harry’s emotions by using Diana’s mental health struggles.

Exactly! Well said. Meghan Markle drama queen? Shows she tries to emulate Diana in many ways, Harry completely taken by her wiles childlike belief that here she’s going thru like his beloved mother! However, the circumstances weren’t entirely different; Diana never thrashed the RF, she was betrayed by only two. Never was disrespectful, made fun or ridiculed the the Queen. Diana’s life was entirely different, her mother left her and sisters for another man - she was very young then! As a young girl, certainly it was painful, she felt abandoned no less by her own mother! Meghan played victim when she was not. The RF had been welcoming - she wore one of the Queen’s tiara, Prince Charles before he was king, married at Westminster Abbey , thereafter waved while the British people cheered and were happy for Prince Harry for his American bride! The RF all present at the wedding - they could have snubbed her and didn’t attend the wedding, etc. she’s ungrateful. No wonder so many saw through her duplicity! Not only the RF felt betrayed, also the British people who lined up and cheered for her and the Prince!

I think they know that but chose to make it an issue for their convenience. In my opinion, the whole issue revolves around Harry not wanting to work to support his family so they have to come up with this type of stunts. I know he could’ve chose better but I think she could have too.

Why when Netflix and Spotify where going to pay them for programs they produced. If she intended to stay in the royal family she convinitly kept supposedly kept proof. There departure was set up well before the wedding and her niavity stated as an excuse excuse to play the victim. It seemed to start off well but unfortunately, as in any family, there are all sorts of dynamics at play and sometimes things can get seriously out of hand. the RF is no exception to family feuds. It's simply NOT OK for Prince Charles to refuse to take Harry's calls. That's lousy on his part. Although Prince Charles may be a perfectly nice guy, clearly he has serious shortcomings - just look how he treated Diana??????!!!

Harry & Meghan have been and continue to be attached publicly even up until the interview, it was continually being done. Oprah gave a very clear clarification regarding privacy. The American people follow more of the US presidents and vice, so I can see her not googling Harry. If it wasn't for Princess Diane I wouldn't watch the Royals. Harry was next and kept most of us interested in the Royals. I think she was more into her education and own personal life by building her career and doing other things. People are so caught up on the context of the racial statement; it shouldn't matter- it shouldn't never have been said. It's called racial discrimination someone in the palace should have known that, yet it sounds like it kept coming up in conversation. Whomever made it clearly felt comfortable enough to keep bringing up skin color and needs to be educated. Security issue well we see the outcome now, Harry nor his son have it. Harry is still Charles son and the grandson of the Queen is he not. It's a poor excuse to say no one knew her mental health pain. The whole situation just paints a bad picture.

The public will never leave them. They are both famous. So wherever they go,even inside their home, there will always be a public eyes on them. And for their children, if they want to protect thier family from public, then don't create any social media accounts and don't post your private and personal life. Just keep them to themselves. The second child announcement is another thing they will publish in few months time so that would be another privacy that will be posted for the public eyes. 🙄😤

Funny Harry was an advocate for mental health issues with William and Kate working with charities and facilities their royal patronages... so I would assume they have access to councilors, mental health professionals, facilities and such. The fact is there is always a doctor patient confidentiality that protects the patient... How come Harry didnt try to get her the help she needed? What people don't know about interviews is that the responses are sometimes recorded at a totally different time. It can appear the two people are in the same room together, but that's not necessarily the case. Editing also has a huge effect that people aren't aware of. There was an agenda here before either one of them sat down for this travesty.

I find it peculiar that Harry is "trapped", but he never knew it until Megan told him.

I totally agree with what you said. The father of my children is black and I am white and my family and I discussed it and it wasn't in a horrible racist way. They asked questions to educate themselves. I will be honest I didn't know she had a black mum as she is quite light skinned so perhaps that was one of the reasons for the conversation.

I think Piers should have first shot of interviewing both of them, they can’t come back until they agree to that.

From a Caribbean black woman in a commonwealth country 🇹🇹 we see through Meghan and Harry’s nonsense..asking the color of a baby’s skin tone is not racist! we are diverse and multi cultural and asking such a question is actually a curious question that shouldn’t be met with racial undertones. @Ash: A child of Harry and Meghan would be 1/4 percent black. Now, any adult would know this child would have light-colored skin, taking into consideration that Meghan herself looks white. If a comment was made to Harry I could see this as "Harry, do you think the baby will be as light as you with red hair, or a bit darker with brown/black hair?" I would be shocked if there was malice intended. Everyone in the RF was happy for Harry and Meghan, and the Queen was looking forward to her newest great-grandchild. People in the U.S. are too quick to jump on social media platforms and scream injustice, in this case with only one side of the story having been told. What I find extremely disturbing is that people in the U.S. know very little about the RF, yet feel outraged that these two former Royals have been so hard done by. Where is the objectivity? You immediately confront the person who said it and make it clear why it is offensive to you and you never want to hear it again, and you protect your wife's happiness by not bringing it up, especially when she is pregnant (it happened before they got married, so why didn't he tell her then if it was so important?). It would only hurt her and make her paranoid and distrustful and even more out of place when she is already feeling vulnerable. Especially if she is an over-sensitive, American actress, lol. My family is the United Nations, we have every colour in the crayon box every time there is a baby on the way we all get in the family group chat and try to guess it's skin colour and its eyes and we are not racist. We have the whitest Irish to the darkest Caribbean and we don't call each other racist for asking. They said they wanted to live a normal and quiet life away from lime light but they keep on showing up on social media and gave their duties and now asking for the titles and they said they got ditched for having money. Hey, that money you were asking are if you work and it's from the taxes that the people are paying at. So they don't have to say that you been cut off. You well know how it works. And for Meghan, you well know what your life would be once you join the royal family. They are protocols and life isn't easy the way you think. I'm also guessing these two just wanted the crown that's why they keep on talking about the royals.

Sorry, I completely disagree. They SPECIFICALLY said the Queen and Prince Phillip were NOT the ones that are racist. They did NOT ask for money or a title for Archie. They were unexpectedly cut off by Prince Charles of funds while they were in 'transition in Canada. The 'deal' from the Queen was she will give them one year's grace period to reassess their situation and it was in that time that Prince Charles suddenly cut them off financially. Due to the above, M&H had to find alternative sources of income which they did but now there is an 'outcry' about that as well. Seems like no matter what they do, some people insist on 'blasting' them which I feel is grossly unfair and unreasonable...

At least his brother makes the effort to play the part of soon to be king and shake hands if the British citizens if that’s what he has to do to earn his keep. Their Netflix deal you say they have should be a good start for as long as it’s something creative they’re offering but I’m sure somehow has to do with the queen so I’m thinking that’s why the press is giving them a hard time. He had funds from his Mother & Great Grand Mother's Deceased Estates and if not touched for all of these years would be a huge sum of money by now. Also she says in the interview she did want a Title for her kid so the Royal Family paid for security. Once again I say use your own money to make your kids as secure as you like don't expect the British taxpayer to pay for it. . The Queen gave them a year to see how things worked out- not a years worth of financial assistance.

There are some questions about the actual pregnancy, as well. Meghan is very independent.: she does exactly as she pleases. So, I don't buy that she was prevented from getting metal help. I think she asked the wrong HR person: she is not an employee of the royal household; for example, a footman, waiter, nanny, etc..

Having a baby and seeing a gynecologist is entirely a different matter to going and seeing a psychiatrist let alone being admitted to a mental facility for help. The public and media naturally accept that a pregnant woman needs to visit her gynae so nothing 'unusual' about that, but seeing a doctor for her mental health would have unleashed massive negative media coverage - the media would have 'crucified' her however unfair that would have been. I'm thus saying that the media would go to absolutely any lengths to sell their papers even if that means blatantly spreading falsehoods and lying and THAT is what H&M have issues about....

Thirdly, in a narcissists world, the worst thing that can happen is extreme embarrassment, and such a thing can lead a narcissist to commit suicide.

I would agree with them, but a lot of what Meghan said have been proven to be lies by those close to the situation. As a nature, previously independent woman, there was a lot of speculation about how she would adjust to the constricting life of a royal. The British, especially the British Royal Family, do things very differently. She would probably feel out of place because of her background, nationality and personal history, no matter how nice they were to her. She had trouble adjusting. Remarks may have been made that were not intended to be malicious; but from her standpoint the were. This is a teachable moment. Harry had issues with his family vans I think he made her transition harder. I think he wanted out and she got blamed for it. That said, she did a lot of offensive things and many if her claims have been debunked. I do hope they can all heal as a family.

People are not judged by their colours. People are judged by their behaviour.

OMG of all the analysis I have watched of the interview, this discussion and Sarah Vine in particular has explained everything brilliantly for me. I could not understand the motive for the interview, why Harry would want to throw a bomb at the Royal family and detonate it with this interview, but when Sarah explained he has never forgiven his father for what happened to his mother, that explained everything for me. Thank you. I also completely agree about how could Meaghan be lonely...unlike Diana, she had Harry who "would have psychiatrist and psychologists on speed dial". Isn't she is supposedly close to her mother also? Dianna did not have that luxury either That was baffling. As if she would go to HR. Come on now. It was disappointing that Harry and Meghan didn’t accept that they may not have handled situations in the best way either. It was as if they were guiltless and everyone else is bad. Not really a balanced point of view.

The onlything I cannot gasp. Does this mean it was more comfortable for the press include myself after reading she made Kate cry to bash her and she should accept to be the bully and don't clear her name? I honestly would sympathize if the man here said the press should not spread lies or say stories without hearing facts from either of them. I do not think anyone should sacrifice for another.

Diana was NOT sad because her husband didn't love her. He started out adoring her just as much as the rest of the world did! Diana married the HEIR TO THE THRONE. Whoever married him would get to be Queen, one day. Watch the engagement video. She doesn't LOOK at him except for quick glances. She tries to NOT ANSWER tha question about being in love, ..... she doesn't love him! She leaves Charles groping around for SOMETHING to say that will cover her mumbled response "Yes of course!" and her irritable face. She is lying when she says it. But she DOES want to be Queen.

It's only natural to wonder what a newborn baby will look like. I wondered if the kid we would have red hair!! Does that make me a racist?!!!!!

RG 100 agree I said things before my nieces child was born like " oh I wonder if the baby will be blonde or will dark toned like I am . And I guess what I meant by dark toned is that I tan easy and have dark hair and I feel people ask stuff like that . I asked if the baby would have the family gap teeth".It was probably a simple statement or question just as you said and thats natural . Harry has let this woman do enough damage .Sorry my grammer and punctuation isn't perfect. I just feel Harry will one day regret letting his wife destroy his family . But to Meghan on her claims of feeling suicidal , I hate to hear that and hope she is doing better now . But to be honest I don't believe that even was an issue but thats only my opinion .

Price Is right briefcase girl met Hollywood producer and he was helping her to get acting jobs. Once she got role in Suits and went to Canada she sent him email with notification of divorce. Did not bother to call. While in Canada she pursued "high society" with the access to royal family. Once she started dating Harry she dropped her father who brought her up and sent to private schools because her mother was too busy pursuing her own interests to worry about the child. Once she married prince, she realized that the job is basically boring and shaking numerous hands of well wishers was not her cup of tea. She also did not like the rules she was expected to follow. So she strike out and "resigned" from royal duties. Went to Canada, but that was too boring and since she met Hollywood elite due to her marriage to Harry she moved to Hollywood, bought multimillion dollar mansion in Santa Barbara and started working on getting multimillion dollar contracts with Netflix, Spotify, Apple etc. Harry was pursuing industry luminaries to help her get jobs from them (for example CEO of Disney to get MeGain voice over job). She could not get those jobs not being related to royal family. To up her billings on her way to become billionaire as her new friend and neighbor Oprah, she decided to throw royal family under the bus. and Oprah gave her platform to do so. To catch people attention she claimed that she is a victim of royal family that she was suicidal (while actively negotiating multimillion dollar contracts), that royal family is racist and that HR did not help her. BTW - where was Harry during that time?

Before, I never really bothered about the Royals, but this pair has gone over the top with this crap. Oprah did not drill down into what they said or to clarify things, and the heavily edited program (3+ hours down to 1+ hours) was disjointed and so suspicious - and made to vindicate their position and decisions but only undermines the Royals. Their sorry fantasy story gets dismantled piece by piece here :- If Meghan felt insecure why did Harry not help more, as he had similar problems and previously took counselling himself so clearly it is not forbidden by the Household (ridiculous), and he would know where to go especially as he is benefactor of counselling programs and organisations. Harry says there was a conversation about any baby's colour before they were married, but he stupidly passed it hearsay to her later (she says when pregnant) but it could have been an innocent single question (not "concerns" which sounds worse) - even her father described it simply as a dumb question at worse if it was ever asked - mixed race families say it is a normal inoffensive interest to wonder about this. Brides sometimes cry and why not - eg over bridesmaid's dress colour, but it was too private or minor to clarify to the public about who actually cried - she seems prone to look for faults or supposed unfairness - grow up. It is a 100 year old tradition that Archie would not get titled Prince (but only until Charles becomes king) and meantime would be an Earl (of Dumbarton) - and Harry would have known about this decades before his son was born, but more importantly the pair did not want the child to have any titles at all when he was born anyway. She got 6 months training on court life, not dropped in the deep end as she kept saying, but she must have missed the lesson on "Keeping your big fat gob shut when you are up to your neck in shit". Learning the words of the anthem would have been easy for any competent actress you would think. The vicious arrogant UK press started to become harsh to them (my only concession as this press is disgracefully unstoppable) but they brought it on themselves by flying about in private jets to environmental events, whilst preaching to the plebs to reduce pollution - and nothing printed was remotely racist. She will have been disappointed to realise the best she would get would be Best Supporting Actress to Kate - and the money and titles were not as good as she thought. She complained of being restricted to the palace but I hear they were constantly hitting the nightlife and the palace were constantly trying to muzzle the press over this and other stuff but clearly not enough for their liking. They would be sad to see their dream life dissolving as they grew close to choosing to leave the UK and more importantly stop their royal duties, and so lost their security cover and income, but again this is solely on them - but they are multi millionaires. Harry seems a bit of a flake and they are an entitled pair, killing the Royal Family who are hog-tied over saying anything at all (not their style, and proven correct after decades of fine experience) and especially whilst Phillip is so unwell. The whole show is unforgivable - she will be disappointed that she married the wrong brother lol. .

I sooo feel for the Queen and the rest of the family - look at Sofie ?? - Kate ? - both commoners who have thrived in this setting. Megan was offered lots of support - as was reported at the time - they have a skewed view of events - very sad

I rather believe them then those headlines. And everything is about WOKE problem, it such a lazy answer to problems. I don’t believe anyone is that perfect the way Kate Is betrayed in the media, she is protected because she will be the next queen and yes I do think that Meghan was used by palace as shield to protect others, all you have to do is to look the past four years. I am the Queen didn’t not know the full the extent of problem if she knew she would’ve find a way to help, I am angry at her secretary who seems to find a way to block her from her family. Don’t forget Harry is veteran who fought for Queen and Country so he is brave and strong, the idea a woman could push him to do things he doesn’t want to do is ridiculous

@@PHlophe the problem is. Its the newspaper who gave that evil accusation to them and now Meghan trashing BRF for it. They should be accused newspaper for it, not BRF.

I am woman of color married to a British man and migrated here 5 years ago - on my own, no immediate family, no friends in the beginning. On top of that, I have to start finding work and start at the bottom again. I went through a lot of tough times and depression when my mom passed away while I am here very far from home. I spoke to my husband and he set me an appointment with the NHS and with the help of my work I had several counselling sessions. It’s just hard to believe they don’t have easy access to counselling.

I agree she doesn’t even look mixed race so what’s she going on about she looks like her dad who is white.

Not to mention there are a number of people from the palace who were present when Meghan made Kate cry over the stupid tights. She just knows Kate can't answer back, and never would over something so petty.

How do you have breath in your lungs and not know who the royal family is. That comment reveals an attempt not only to hide a hidden objective but, discloses negative character attributes. It was her way of obtaining sympathy as the advertised victim.

A very good friend of mine and her husband were expecting their first baby. She is mixed race and he has fair skin, freckles, and red hair. The topic came up that they both wondered if the baby would have red hair. They also wondered if the baby would have freckles and fair skin or have mocha skin with that red hair. They were laughing about it. Racism never entered the conversation. The baby was born with beautiful mocha skin, curly red hair, and gorgeous green eyes. So stunning!

It certainly appears Harry's wife gave herself little time to discover just what her actual role would be this 'institution,' as she calls it. If she believed SHE would be running things she was sadly mistaken. The couple seem very involved in promoting good mental health in others but their behavior and dubious decision-making skills may indicate a need for professional attention with their own issues. People who are genuinely seeking improved mental health have many options, *ESPECIALLY* if they are wealthy & royal.

Oprah made several implications in the questions that she asked, that little Archie might have been denied certain Royal rights and privileges on account of race. Oprah, because of her American background cannot get away from the fact that the white population of the UK must be just as racist as are certain groups among the White population in the US. Racism is simply not an issue in the UK as it is in the US. In the UK, a man DOES NOT get pulled over by the police just for being Black and walking. So Oprah asks if the title of Prince was withheld from Harry because of his race. This is a RIDICULOUS suggestion, but it is the sort of thing that is likely to fix itself in the consciousness of many African Americans. What is the TRUTH? The Royal Family is cutting back on those people with Royal Titles. Princess Anne's children have no titles at all. Prince Andrew's daughter's are Princesses, but the Queen has refused to make them "part of the Firm" and insisted that they got out and got regular jobs like Anne's children. Prince Edward's children are NOT Prince and Princess. Louise is known as Lady Louise, but it is an honorary title (in the same way as Lady Diana Spencer's title was) and her brother James has one of his father's lesser titles. This brings us to Harry and Archie. Archie is seventh in line to the throne. He is further down the line than Anne's son and daughter, just plain MR Peter Philips and MISS Zara Philips were at the time of their births, MORE THAN THIRTY YEARS AGO. Whatismore, since Prince Harry retains his title Duke of Sussex, then he ALSO retains his two subsidiary titles, Earl of Dumbarton and Baron Kileel. These are passed to his son. So little Archie is Earl of Dumbarton, and when he produces a son, the child will be Baron Kileel. Archie will become Duke of Sussex on the death of Harry. So, although in line with Royal cut-backs, Archie is not Prince Archie, he is not without a title, and one day will become a Royal Duke.

Was the question purely innocent (in the same way if someone asks if the baby might be tall, short, round face, small feet, curly hair, big nose, round eyes, light or dark skin) - so what?? Stupid question I agree, but not necessarily racist - was it really a CONCERN by the person who asked this question or purely a dumb question. THUS, so what was the context of this question Meghan??? Meghan was not present to personally hear this, but Meghan & Oprah jump to the racist card. I'm American, a person of color - and I'm so sick of Meghan - she sounds so entitled.

Come on people! I was born and raised in Texas. I know about the Royal family. Harry did not marry someone who was in her teens, and green as grass. Open your eyes, Harry's wife is someone who strategically met Harry and got what she wanted. She just met a family who did not feed into her and were not going to be manipulated. She did not like that they did not find her to be the most interesting person in the room and decided to leave. She then made her husband leave his duty and his family for her. She has him wrapped around her finger. Harry is the one who is being fooled, along with the people who actually believe her. It is all very deceitful and conniving. Pretty sick. Oprah has also lost her mind and is to blame too for playing along with this silly made up drama. But money makes people do horrible things at times.
