That's an adorable story! I can't wait to hear more details! My sister knew when she was getting proposed to in a way as well. Her and my brother in law had been looking at rings when they got done with their third year of college. Then a month before my brother in law proposed he talked with my dad etc. Then my brother in law got the ring and planned a date to the coast with my sister without telling her what was going on. My parents were out of town and I was getting ready to head to a friend's house for a church meeting when my mom called and said my sister and brother in law were engaged. Apparently on the way to the coast my sister was asking when the sale was for the ring they were looking at and wanted (my brother in law vaguely said oh it ends tomorrow we can do that then). Then they went to a restaurant near the coast and after they were done eating and proposed my brother in law led my sister to the huge deck they had and proposed. My brother in law was nervous and couldn't remember which pocket the ring was in but he found it and got on one knee

I got proposed to at our kitchen table before we were leaving for an event - just me and him. It was a total surprise, but I wouldn't have imagined my husband doing it any other way because he wouldn't have wanted to do it in front of a bunch of people anyway.
