I think seeing what others do is ALWAYS a great thing. Let's be honest, teachers don't get to see each other teach (unless you are doing a peer coaching kind of thing) so this was a great way to see what another 1st grade teacher does with her class. I have learned so much from you over the years and I just wanted to say THANK YOU for your consistency and always sharing what you find works for you. I can't wait to see next week's video about what you are going to keep doing and what you are going to change. I will have 2 new teammates next year so I have been sharing LOTS of things and ideas and found myself sending links to MANY of your videos. I share the links but not what I have purchased because we all know we need to value your time and hard work and if they want to purchase something I already have that's an added bonus.

How long do you work on the memory books? One week? Do you find you have to do a little brainstorming mini lesson beforehand for each page? Do you sell your memory book on TPT or is it in your club? Love the classmate letter idea too!! :)

Usually just the last full week, yes! I have a few students that will work on them this upcoming Monday to make up whatever they haven't yet finished. There are only 2 pages I brainstorm for: "What is your favorite first grade memory?" and "What did I learn in first grade?" Then the rest, they just complete on their own and work at their own pace - many are just pictures! The book I am using this year is from a co-worker of mine!
