Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married June 2013 and quickly caught the travel bug! We started “travel hacking” and taking more trips together and finally decided we wanted to travel for one year. After 2 years of saving $ and travel hacking over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016. We started this KZread channel to share our experiences with friends and family, then decided we really liked vlogging and traveling. So we extended our 1 year trip to THREE years :) Now we have a goal of traveling to 100 countries before 2020! We are incredibly thankful to do something we love every day. :)

Hi there
I really enjoyed your coverage of these games. It was fascinating to watch and learn about sports that are so foreign to Americans. Thank you for the high quality videos, Kara and Nate!

speaking of the Amazons, they actually lived in Central Asia and around Black Sea and were known as Cythians and besides the real ancient Saka tribes that inhabited most of Central Asia had famous women worriors that used to burn out one of their breasts to improve their shooting skills ( the last fact is still a theory)

I'm not keen on sports involving animals much either but this vlog has been one of my favourites surprisingly. It really shows the culture of the games, the friendliness and genuineness of the people, and a part of the world that westerners really know so little about. This time I'm suspending my judgment and just watching it for what it is. I love animals a lot and I imagine that nomads especially would develop strong relationships with their animals too as they depend on them for so much.
The beginning looks like you are in Harry Potter ready to play quidditch lol
This is amazing. I'm Kyrgyz and thank you so much for showing my country. I'm proud of how far we've come, and I hope ya'll had a great time in Kyrgyzstan :)

Those people are INSANELY good riders! The women archers looked like movie stars. They need to name the goat game "Dead Goat Toss." the wrestler did not know his horse. Because all the horses were provided by the host. only Arabian and Kyrgyz horses were allowed to such competitions. These are horses of professional Kyrgyz athletes. Each horse has its own name, its own individual character and inclinations. A few horses people know by name
