Despite of the attempts from different Protestant groups to evangelize the Philippines for many decades, which was way back in the 1900's, thanks to Spain and along with the guidance of Our Lady, my country the Philippines is still a strong Catholic country, or at least a predominately Catholic nation in Asia. Ave Maria et Deo Gratias!

Finally a priest that talks about this beautiful story of Our Lady of the Pillar and Pelayo, Covadonga etc. Spain has such a beautiful part in the history of the Church. Most people have never heard of this story, and don't know that Christopher Columbus who had a great devotion to Our Lady and had a statue in his ship of her discovered America on the feast day of Our Lady of the Pillar (October 12), if that is not a sign from God I don't know what is!

You know it’s funny; we did a pilgrimage through Regina Pilgrimages and we stopped in Zaragoza (we did the opposite pilgrimage this priest did where it started at Lourdes and it ended in Fatima) and right across the street from the Cathedral of our Lady of the Pillar is the Cathedral of Saint James and they’re both stunning, gorgeous, beautiful cathedrals. I wish here in America we had something like this. Or at least the Faith. Lovely homily.

Spanish catholic roots. Mexican life is beautiful for this reason and its been a battle of the enemy trying to make it be hidden. Along with Our Lady of Guadalupe making warriors of faith in the new Spain. The catholic seeds in the new world.

Mary was instructed by Jesus to travel to Saragossa to bring James back to Jerusalem to be martyred, the first of the apostles. This happened just 4 days before Mary and John were to go to Ephesus. Mary was transported by angels on a throne and it was the angels that fashioned the pillar and transported it. Mary requested that James build a chapel there, the first in Christendom, and on completing it, James was to return to Jerusalem. This story is expanded in the biography of Mary in the work called "Mystical City of God" by Mary of Agreda and is book 7 of the 8 book work.

Correct if I'm wrong :). Our Lady appeared to St. James before Our Lady's assumption into heaven? Thank you and Deo Gratias!

Many thanks, Father. Sr Lucy together with founders of the Blue Army composed a very short Act of Consecration prayer to Our Lady which they called a pledge to Our Lady to be prayed. The Pledge to Our Lady: bluearmy.com/the-apostolate/pledge/ To offer up every day the sacrifices demanded by my daily duty. To pray at least five decades of the Rosary daily while meditating on the Mysteries. To wear the Scapular of Mount Carmel as a profession of this promise and as an ACT of CONSECRATION to YOU. I will renew this promise often, especially in moments of temptation. Note: This pledge is not a vow and does not bind under sin. They've added a promise to complete the five 1st Saturdays requested by our Lady in 1925, which wasn't in the original pledge but an excellent devotion. With all due respect to St. Louis de Montfort’s total consecration to Mary which was around for 250 years before Fatima and takes weeks, the above shortened consecration/pledge is what Sr. Lucy gave us as a proper response to Our Lady's requests at Fatima after she was charged by Jesus with spreading devotion to Our Lady's Immaculate Heart in the World. Please consider it.

Garabandal is a hoax. Conchita is a false prophet and a deceiver. She promised our lady Mary told her to tell a blind man he will be cured. He died blind. Nothing this woman says is true.

Garabandal apparitions are true. Maybe the sight restored was his spiritual sight.Jesus spoke to Vasssula Ryden in True Life In God several times about Garabandal.

Garabandal is definitely not an approved apparition. Beware.

The reason its not approved is because the prophecies haven't come true yet. Padre Pio and Mother Theresa ( Two of the greatest saints of our time) were both close friends with Conchita Gonzalez and believed in the apparitions. That's good enough for me.

you should still be skeptical about that hole series of visions, in fact they seem to come from a dark source . The seers jumping thur hoops, walking backwards barking like dogs, the hold time looking like they were affected! The more you look at this apparition the more it seems the work of the devil. As for any saint throwing their hat in the ring remember that the church in Rome has the final say so...period.
