Our Hereford Farm
Today we visit our Hereford Farm. We love our gentle Registered Herefords!! Our grandsons love coming to the farm and checking cows! We have finally got a little rain at this farm. Enough to keep the grass growing at least, but the creeks and springs are still dry. We have made it to the middle of September and are hoping to have enough grass to make it to December before feeding hay. How is your grass holding up? We would love to hear from you!!

You have one beautiful herd of Herefords. Are they a healthy breed? They sure look like they are. I just subscribed to your channel. Really enjoy it.

@@doublelcattlefarming I mean the overall health of the animal as far calving, pinkeye, etc. I know that their beef is excellent!

Oh I gotcha! Yes it is really good beef! I would say they’re as healthy as any other breed around. I’ve always been told the solid white face makes them more susceptible to pink eye. We have had really good luck with using our cattle curtains for controlling pinky eye. This past summer however was a challenge….it was the driest summer in a very long time and I believe that really played a part. We had a few cases of pink eye but we’re able to keep it under control by spraying them extra.
