OUR GREATEST PARKUP - TRE CIME DI LAVAREDO 🇮🇹 BUT... with BRAKE ISSUES at 7000ft!!
Day 20/21 and a highlight of our Tour. We Park-Up at the TRE CIME DI LAVAREDO. This is high 2133m (7000ft) but WOW what a place to spend the night. It gets busy so timing is important. Aim to go up around 3-4pm in the afternoon and to hike early the next day (around 7am), this will avoid the crowds from the coaches and day visitors which arrive from 9am. We stayed just 24hrs but if the weather is right we could have spent 2-3 days here. (Buy the 24hr ticket at the bottom and if there's more days to pay for they'll just charge you the extra when you leave). Being so high you'll need to check the weather conditions before you go and keep an eye on the forecast while you are there. The drive up is steep but the roads are well maintained and wide.
We recommend hiking anti clockwise around the Tree Cime so head to the refuge first and continue on from there.

Thanks for the heads up Dave...I didn't see any restriction signs / warnings from the drone but still only flew when no one was around. That's more than can be said for our parkup, there were literally 4-5 drones buzzing around as we had dinner watching the sun go down, cheers...Andy

Did you eventually get a diagnosis for the brakes or did the warning light simply go away after the brakes cooled down?
There are views and there are views. Is that the best view you have had from your motorhome while parked for the night?

We’re not sure exactly what happened? But it was ok after we parked up for 20 minutes thankfully. 😅 we then had another 3 weeks away before arriving home and got it changed as a precaution! cheers...Andy&Michelle
